<로마에 도착한 바울>
(행 28:1-15)
(행 28:1-15, 개역) [1] 우리가 구원을 얻은 후에 안즉 그 섬은 멜리데라 하더라 [2] 토인들이 우리에게 특별한 동정을 하여 비가 오고 날이 차매 불을 피워 우리를 다 영접하더라 [3] 바울이 한 뭇 나무를 거두어 불에 넣으니 뜨거움을 인하여 독사가 나와 그 손을 물고 있는지라 [4] 토인들이 이 짐승이 그 손에 달림을 보고 서로 말하되 진실로 이 사람은 살인한 자로다 바다에서는 구원을 얻었으나 공의가 살지 못하게 하심이로다 하더니 [5] 바울이 그 짐승을 불에 떨어버리매 조금도 상함이 없더라 [6] 그가 붓든지 혹 갑자기 엎드러져 죽을 줄로 저희가 기다렸더니 오래 기다려도 그에게 아무 이상이 없음을 보고 돌려 생각하여 말하되 신이라 하더라 [7] 이 섬에 제일 높은 사람 보블리오라 하는 이가 그 근처에 토지가 있는지라 그가 우리를 영접하여 사흘이나 친절히 유숙하게 하더니 [8] 보블리오의 부친이 열병과 이질에 걸려 누웠거늘 바울이 들어가서 기도하고 그에게 안수하여 낫게 하매 [9] 이러므로 섬 가운데 다른 병든 사람들이 와서 고침을 받고 [10] 후한 예로 우리를 대접하고 떠날 때에 우리 쓸 것을 배에 올리더라 [11] 석 달 후에 그 섬에서 과동한 알렉산드리아 배를 우리가 타고 떠나니 그 배 기호는 디오스구로라 [12] 수라구사에 대고 사흘을 있다가 [13] 거기서 둘러가서 레기온에 이르러 하루를 지난 후 남풍이 일어나므로 이튿날 보디올에 이르러 [14] 거기서 형제를 만나 저희의 청함을 받아 이레를 함께 유하다가 로마로 가니라 [15] 거기 형제들이 우리 소식을 듣고 압비오 저자와 삼관까지 맞으러 오니 바울이 저희를 보고 하나님께 사례하고 담대한 마음을 얻으니라
(행 28:1-15, NKJV) [1] Now when they had escaped, they then found out that the island was called Malta. [2] And the natives showed us unusual kindness; for they kindled a fire and made us all welcome, because of the rain that was falling and because of the cold. [3] But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat, and fastened on his hand. [4] So when the natives saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, "No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he has escaped the sea, yet justice does not allow to live." [5] But he shook off the creature into the fire and suffered no harm. [6] However, they were expecting that he would swell up or suddenly fall down dead. But after they had looked for a long time and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds and said that he was a god. [7] In that region there was an estate of the leading citizen of the island, whose name was Publius, who received us and entertained us courteously for three days. [8] And it happened that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and dysentery. Paul went in to him and prayed, and he laid his hands on him and healed him. [9] So when this was done, the rest of those on the island who had diseases also came and were healed. [10] They also honored us in many ways; and when we departed, they provided such things as were necessary. [11] After three months we sailed in an Alexandrian ship whose figurehead was the Twin Brothers, which had wintered at the island. [12] And landing at Syracuse, we stayed three days. [13] From there we circled round and reached Rhegium. And after one day the south wind blew; and the next day we came to Puteoli, [14] where we found brethren, and were invited to stay with them seven days. And so we went toward Rome. [15] And from there, when the brethren heard about us, they came to meet us as far as Appii Forum and Three Inns. When Paul saw them, he thanked God and took courage.
무서운 폭풍에서 살아남은 바울과 276명의 사람들은 멜리데라는 섬에 도착하였습니다. 이것은 멸망의 난파선인 이 세상에세 구원을 얻은 것과 같습니다. 그런데 그 선사람들이 일행을 극진히 도와주는 것이었습니다. 하나님의 예비하심을 알수가 있습니다. 마치 요나의 앞길에 폭풍과 물고기를 예비하신것과 같습니다. 추운날에 나묵가지를 모아 불을 피우자 독사가 나와서 바울을 물었습니다. 사람들은 경험에 비추어 보아 바울이 곧 죽을것이라고 생각하였습니다. 아마도 죄수의 모습을 하였기에 죄값을 치룰것이라고 생각하였을 것입니다. 그러나 바울은 전혀 해를 입지 않았고 오히려 그 독사를 불에 떨구어 버렸습니다. 사람들은 놀랐을 것입니다. 더 나가서 그 섬의 지도자인 보블리오의 아버지가 병이 들자 기도로 고쳐 주었습니다. 여기서 기독교 전통에 따르면 나중에 보불리오는 이 지역의 감독에 되었다고 합니다. 이런 기적들을 통하여 바울이 전하는 복음을 믿도록 역사하신 것이 라고 볼수 있습니다. 다시 배를 타고 이태리에 토착하였고 그곳 성도들은 바울을 바중나와 반겨 맞이 하였습니다. 비록 죄수의 몸이었지만 그리고 만난적도 없지만 그들은 바울이 복음을 위하여 얼마나 수고하였는지를 알았고 또한 로마서를 통하여 그의 학문과 신학의 깊이를 인식하였을 것입니다. 우리는 복음을 위하여 수고하는 자들을 특별히 알아 주고 인정해야 합니다. 서로 사랑해야 합니다. 바울은 죄수의 몸으로 아는 사람들이 없는 이방 땅에서 법정에서야 하는 입장에서 형제 자매들의 환영을 통하여 하나님의 위로를 받았고 큰 담대함과 용기를 얻었을 것입니다. 우리는 서로 위로해야 합니다.
로마에 도착하여 큰 담대함을 얻은 바울처럼 우리들도 이 어려운 세상 여정을 마치고 천국에 도달할 때 하나님의 크신 위로와 안식을 얻게 될것입니다.
이 말씀을 통하여 더욱 힘을 얻는 우리 모두가 될수 있기를 주님의 이름으로 축원합니다.
1. 풍랑에서 구원받아 멜리데 섬에 도착함
(1) 구원자 예수. 마1:18-25
(마 1:18-25, 개역) [18] 예수 그리스도의 나심은 이러하니라 그 모친 마리아가 요셉과 정혼하고 동거하기 전에 성령으로 잉태된 것이 나타났더니 [19] 그 남편 요셉은 의로운 사람이라 저를 드러내지 아니하고 가만히 끊고자 하여 [20] 이 일을 생각할 때에 주의 사자가 현몽하여 가로되 다윗의 자손 요셉아 네 아내 마리아 데려오기를 무서워 말라 저에게 잉태된 자는 성령으로 된 것이라 [21] 아들을 낳으리니 이름을 예수라 하라 이는 그가 자기 백성을 저희 죄에서 구원할 자이심이라 하니라 [22] 이 모든 일의 된 것은 주께서 선지자로 하신 말씀을 이루려 하심이니 가라사대 [23] 보라 처녀가 잉태하여 아들을 낳을 것이요 그 이름은 임마누엘이라 하리라 하셨으니 이를 번역한즉 하나님이 우리와 함께 계시다 함이라 [24] 요셉이 잠을 깨어 일어나서 주의 사자의 분부대로 행하여 그 아내를 데려왔으나 [25] 아들을 낳기까지 동침치 아니하더니 낳으매 이름을 예수라 하니라
(마 1:18-25, NKJV) [18] Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows： After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. [19] Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. [20] But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. [21] "And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins." [22] So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying： [23] "Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us." [24] Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife, [25] and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name JESUS.
(2) 죄와 사망에서. 롬 5:15-17
(롬 5:15-17, 개역) [15] 그러나 이 은사는 그 범죄와 같지 아니하니 곧 한 사람의 범죄를 인하여 많은 사람이 죽었은즉 더욱 하나님의 은혜와 또는 한 사람 예수 그리스도의 은혜로 말미암은 선물이 많은 사람에게 넘쳤으리라 [16] 또 이 선물은 범죄한 한 사람으로 말미암은 것과 같지 아니하니 심판은 한 사람을 인하여 정죄에 이르렀으나 은사는 많은 범죄를 인하여 의롭다 하심에 이름이니라 [17] 한 사람의 범죄를 인하여 사망이 그 한 사람으로 말미암아 왕 노릇 하였은즉 더욱 은혜와 의의 선물을 넘치게 받는 자들이 한 분 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 생명 안에서 왕 노릇 하리로다
(롬 5:15-17, NKJV) [15] But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man's offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. [16] And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. [17] For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)
(3) 마귀의 권세에서. 골 2:14-15
(골 2:14-15, 개역) [14] 우리를 거스리고 우리를 대적하는 의문에 쓴 증서를 도말하시고 제하여 버리사 십자가에 못 박으시고 [15] 정사와 권세를 벗어버려 밝히 드러내시고 십자가로 승리하셨느니라
(골 2:14-15, NKJV) [14] having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. [15] Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
(4) 정과 욕심에서. 엡 2:1-3
(엡 2:1-3, 개역) [1] 너희의 허물과 죄로 죽었던 너희를 살리셨도다 [2] 그 때에 너희가 그 가운데서 행하여 이 세상 풍속을 좇고 공중의 권세 잡은 자를 따랐으니 곧 지금 불순종의 아들들 가운데서 역사하는 영이라 [3] 전에는 우리도 다 그 가운데서 우리 육체의 욕심을 따라 지내며 육체와 마음의 원하는 것을 하여 다른 이들과 같이 본질상 진노의 자녀이었더니
(엡 2:1-3, NKJV) [1] And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, [2] in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, [3] among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.
(5) 지옥불에서. 롬 8:1-2
(롬 8:1-2, 개역) [1] 그러므로 이제 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 자에게는 결코 정죄함이 없나니 [2] 이는 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 생명의 성령의 법이 죄와 사망의 법에서 너를 해방하였음이라
(롬 8:1-2, NKJV) [1] There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. [2] For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
(6) 절망에서. 요 1:1-5. 요 8:12
(요 1:1-5, 개역) [1] 태초에 말씀이 계시니라 이 말씀이 하나님과 함께 계셨으니 이 말씀은 곧 하나님이시니라 [2] 그가 태초에 하나님과 함께 계셨고 [3] 만물이 그로 말미암아 지은 바 되었으니 지은 것이 하나도 그가 없이는 된 것이 없느니라 [4] 그 안에 생명이 있었으니 이 생명은 사람들의 빛이라 [5] 빛이 어두움에 비취되 어두움이 깨닫지 못하더라
(요 1:1-5, NKJV) [1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] He was in the beginning with God. [3] All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. [4] In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. (7) 질병에서. 출 15. 약5
(출 15, 개역) [1] 이 때에 모세와 이스라엘 자손이 이 노래로 여호와께 노래하니 일렀으되 내가 여호와를 찬송하리니 그는 높고 영화로우심이요 말과 그 탄 자를 바다에 던지셨음이로다 [2] 여호와는 나의 힘이요 노래시며 나의 구원이시로다 그는 나의 하나님이시니 내가 그를 찬송할 것이요 내 아비의 하나님이시니 내가 그를 높이리로다 [3] 여호와는 용사시니 여호와는 그의 이름이시로다 [4] 그가 바로의 병거와 그 군대를 바다에 던지시니 그 택한 장관이 홍해에 잠겼고 [5] 큰 물이 그들을 덮으니 그들이 돌처럼 깊음에 내렸도다 [6] 여호와여 주의 오른손이 권능으로 영광을 나타내시니이다 여호와여 주의 오른 손이 원수를 부수시니이다 [7] 주께서 주의 큰 위엄으로 주를 거스리는 자를 엎으시나이다 주께서 진노를 발하시니 그 진노가 그들을 초개 같이 사르니이다 [8] 주의 콧김에 물이 쌓이되 파도가 언덕 같이 일어서고 큰 물이 바다 가운데 엉기니이다 [9] 대적의 말이 내가 쫓아 미쳐 탈취물을 나누리라 내가 그들로 인하여 내 마음을 채우리라 내가 내 칼을 빼리니 내 손이 그들을 멸하리라 하였으나 [10] 주께서 주의 바람을 일으키시매 바다가 그들을 덮으니 그들이 흉용한 물에 납 같이 잠겼나이다 [11] 여호와여 신 중에 주와 같은 자 누구니이까 주와 같이 거룩함에 영광스러우며 찬송할만한 위엄이 있으며 기이한 일을 행하는 자 누구니이까 [12] 주께서 오른손을 드신즉 땅이 그들을 삼켰나이다 [13] 주께서 그 구속하신 백성을 은혜로 인도하시되 주의 힘으로 그들을 주의 성결한 처소에 들어가게 하시나이다 [14] 열방이 듣고 떨며 블레셋 거민이 두려움에 잡히며 [15] 에돔 방백이 놀라고 모압 영웅이 떨림에 잡히며 가나안 거민이 다 낙담하나이다 [16] 놀람과 두려움이 그들에게 미치매 주의 팔이 큼을 인하여 그들이 돌 같이 고요하였사오되 여호와여 주의 백성이 통과하기까지 곧 주의 사신 백성이 통과하기까지였나이다 [17] 주께서 백성을 인도하사 그들을 주의 기업의 산에 심으시리이다 여호와여 이는 주의 처소를 삼으시려고 예비하신 것이라 주여 이것이 주의 손으로 세우신 성소로소이다 [18] 여호와의 다스리심이 영원무궁하시도다 하였더라 [19] 바로의 말과 병거와 마병이 함께 바다에 들어가매 여호와께서 바닷물로 그들 위에 돌이켜 흐르게 하셨으나 이스라엘 자손은 바다 가운데서 육지로 행한지라 [20] 아론의 누이 선지자 미리암이 손에 소고를 잡으매 모든 여인도 그를 따라 나오며 소고를 잡고 춤추니 [21] 미리암이 그들에게 화답하여 가로되 너희는 여호와를 찬송하라 그는 높고 영화로우심이요 말과 그 탄 자를 바다에 던지셨음이로다 하였더라 [22] 모세가 홍해에서 이스라엘을 인도하매 그들이 나와서 수르 광야로 들어가서 거기서 사흘길을 행하였으나 물을 얻지 못하고 [23] 마라에 이르렀더니 그 곳 물이 써서 마시지 못하겠으므로 그 이름을 마라라 하였더라 [24] 백성이 모세를 대하여 원망하여 가로되 우리가 무엇을 마실까 하매 [25] 모세가 여호와께 부르짖었더니 여호와께서 그에게 한 나무를 지시하시니 그가 물에 던지매 물이 달아졌더라 거기서 여호와께서 그들을 위하여 법도와 율례를 정하시고 그들을 시험하실새 [26] 가라사대 너희가 너희 하나님 나 여호와의 말을 청종하고 나의 보기에 의를 행하며 내 계명에 귀를 기울이며 내 모든 규례를 지키면 내가 애굽 사람에게 내린 모든 질병의 하나도 너희에게 내리지 아니하리니 나는 너희를 치료하는 여호와임이니라 [27] 그들이 엘림에 이르니 거기 물샘 열둘과 종려 칠십 주가 있는지라 거기서 그들이 그 물 곁에 장막을 치니라
(출 15, NKJV) [1] Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the LORD, and spoke, saying： "I will sing to the LORD, For He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea! [2] The LORD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father's God, and I will exalt Him. [3] The LORD is a man of war; The LORD is His name. [4] Pharaoh's chariots and his army He has cast into the sea; His chosen captains also are drowned in the Red Sea. [5] The depths have covered them; They sank to the bottom like a stone. [6] "Your right hand, O LORD, has become glorious in power; Your right hand, O LORD, has dashed the enemy in pieces. [9] The enemy said, 'I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; My desire shall be satisfied on them. I will draw my sword, My hand shall destroy them.' [10] You blew with Your wind, The sea covered them; They sank like lead in the mighty waters. [11] "Who is like You, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders? [12] You stretched out Your right hand; The earth swallowed them. [13] You in Your mercy have led forth The people whom You have redeemed; You have guided them in Your strength To Your holy habitation. [14] "The people will hear and be afraid; Sorrow will take hold of the inhabitants of Philistia. [15] Then the chiefs of Edom will be dismayed; The mighty men of Moab, Trembling will take hold of them; All the inhabitants of Canaan will melt away. [16] Fear and dread will fall on them; By the greatness of Your arm They will be as still as a stone, Till Your people pass over, O LORD, Till the people pass over Whom You have purchased. [17] You will bring them in and plant them In the mountain of Your inheritance, In the place, O LORD, which You have made For Your own dwelling, The sanctuary, O LORD, which Your hands have established. [18] "The LORD shall reign forever and ever." [19] For the horses of Pharaoh went with his chariots and his horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought back the waters of the sea upon them. But the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea. [20] Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took the timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances. [21] And Miriam answered them： "Sing to the LORD, For He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea!" [22] So Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea; then they went out into the Wilderness of Shur. And they went three days in the wilderness and found no water. [23] Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah. [24] And the people complained against Moses, saying, "What shall we drink?" [25] So he cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet. There He made a statute and an ordinance for them. And there He tested them, [26] and said, "If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you." [27] Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve wells of water and seventy palm trees; so they camped there by the waters.
(출 15:26, 개역) 가라사대 너희가 너희 하나님 나 여호와의 말을 청종하고 나의 보기에 의를 행하며 내 계명에 귀를 기울이며 내 모든 규례를 지키면 내가 애굽 사람에게 내린 모든 질병의 하나도 너희에게 내리지 아니하리니 나는 너희를 치료하는 여호와임이니라
(Ex 15:26, NKJV) and said, "If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you."
(8) 가난에서. 빌 4.19. 마 6:31-33
(빌 4:19, 개역) 나의 하나님이 그리스도 예수 안에서 영광 가운데 그 풍성한 대로 너희 모든 쓸 것을 채우시리라
(Php 4:19, NKJV) And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
(마 6:31-33, 개역) [31] 그러므로 염려하여 이르기를 무엇을 먹을까 무엇을 마실까 무엇을 입을까 하지 말라 [32] 이는 다 이방인들이 구하는 것이라 너희 천부께서 이 모든 것이 너희에게 있어야 할 줄을 아시느니라 [33] 너희는 먼저 그의 나라와 그의 의를 구하라 그리하면 이 모든 것을 너희에게 더하시리라
(마 6:31-33, NKJV) [31] "Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' [32] "For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. [33] "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

(렘 33:1-3, 개역) [1] 예레미야가 아직 시위대 뜰에 갇혔을 때에 여호와의 말씀이 그에게 임하니라 가라사대 [2] 일을 행하는 여호와, 그것을 지어 성취하는 여호와, 그 이름을 여호와라 하는 자가 이같이 이르노라 [3] 너는 내게 부르짖으라 내가 네게 응답하겠고 네가 알지 못하는 크고 비밀한 일을 네게 보이리라
(렘 33:1-3, NKJV) [1] Moreover the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah a second time, while he was still shut up in the court of the prison, saying, [2] "Thus says the LORD who made it, the LORD who formed it to establish it (the LORD is His name)： [3] 'Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.'

(시 40:1-2, 개역) [1] [다윗의 시, 영장으로 한 노래] 내가 여호와를 기다리고 기다렸더니 귀를 기울이사 나의 부르짖음을 들으셨도다 [2] 나를 기가 막힐 웅덩이와 수렁에서 끌어 올리시고 내 발을 반석 위에 두사 내 걸음을 견고케 하셨도다
(시 40:1-2, NKJV) [1] To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for the LORD; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. [2] He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps.
(10) 오직 예수: 요 14:6, 딤전 2:4-5
(요 14:6, 개역) 예수께서 가라사대 내가 곧 길이요 진리요 생명이니 나로 말미암지 않고는 아버지께로 올 자가 없느니라
(Jn 14:6, NKJV) Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
(딤전 2:4-5, 개역) [4] 하나님은 모든 사람이 구원을 받으며 진리를 아는 데 이르기를 원하시느니라 [5] 하나님은 한 분이시요 또 하나님과 사람 사이에 중보도 한 분이시니 곧 사람이신 그리스도 예수라

(1) 예비하시는 하나님. 요나서. 므깃도. 신명기 9:3
(신 9:3, 개역) 오늘날 너는 알라 네 하나님 여호와께서 맹렬한 불과 같이 네 앞에 나아가신즉 여호와께서 그들을 파하사 네 앞에 엎드러지게 하시리니 여호와께서 네게 말씀하신 것 같이 너는 그들을 쫓아내며 속히 그들을 멸할 것이라
(Dt 9:3, NKJV) "Therefore understand today that the LORD your God is He who goes over before you as a consuming fire. He will destroy them and bring them down before you; so you shall drive them out and destroy them quickly, as the LORD has said to you.
(2) 마음을 움직이시는 하나님. 슥 12:1-2.

(슥 12:1-2, NKJV) [1] The burden of the word of the LORD against Israel. Thus says the LORD, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him： [2] "Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem.
(3) 에서와 야곱

And he said, "These are to find favor in the sight of my lord." [9] But Esau said, "I have enough, my brother; keep what you have for yourself." [10] And Jacob said, "No, please, if I have now found favor in your sight, then receive my present from my hand, inasmuch as I have seen your face as though I had seen the face of God, and you were pleased with me.

(창 45:5-8, 개역) [5] 당신들이 나를 이곳에 팔았으므로 근심하지 마소서 한탄하지 마소서 하나님이 생명을 구원하시려고 나를 당신들 앞서 보내셨나이다 [6] 이 땅에 이년 동안 흉년이 들었으나 아직 오년은 기경도 못하고 추수도 못할지라 [7] 하나님이 큰 구원으로 당신들의 생명을 보존하고 당신들의 후손을 세상에 두시려고 나를 당신들 앞서 보내셨나니 [8] 그런즉 나를 이리로 보낸 자는 당신들이 아니요 하나님이시라 하나님이 나로 바로의 아비를 삼으시며 그 온 집의 주를 삼으시며 애굽 온 땅의 치리자를 삼으셨나이다
(창 45:5-8, NKJV) [5] "But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life. [6] "For these two years the famine has been in the land, and there are still five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvesting. [7] "And God sent me before you to preserve a posterity for you in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. [8] "So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.
(5) 대적을 일으키시기도 함. 솔로몬
(왕상 11:14, 개역) 여호와께서 에돔 사람 하닷을 일으켜 솔로몬의 대적이 되게 하시니 저는 왕의 자손으로서 에돔에 거하였더라
(1Kg 11:14, NKJV) Now the LORD raised up an adversary against Solomon, Hadad the Edomite; he was a descendant of the king in Edom.
(왕상 11:23, 개역) 하나님이 또 엘리아다의 아들 르손을 일으켜 솔로몬의 대적이 되게 하시니 저는 그 주인 소바 왕 하닷에셀에게서 도망한 자라
(1Kg 11:23, NKJV) And God raised up another adversary against him, Rezon the son of Eliadah, who had fled from his lord, Hadadezer king of Zobah.
(왕상 11:26, 개역) 솔로몬의 신복 느밧의 아들 여로보암이 또한 손을 들어 왕을 대적하였으니 저는 에브라임 족속인 스레다 사람이요 그 어미의 이름은 스루아니 과부더라
(1Kg 11:26, NKJV) Then Solomon's servant, Jeroboam the son of Nebat, an Ephraimite from Zereda, whose mother's name was Zeruah, a widow, also rebelled against the king.
(6) 강퍅하게도 하심. 바로
(출 9:7, 개역) 바로가 보내어 본즉 이스라엘의 생축은 하나도 죽지 아니하였더라 그러나 바로의 마음이 완강하여 백성을 보내지 아니하니라
(Ex 9:7, NKJV) Then Pharaoh sent, and indeed, not even one of the livestock of the Israelites was dead. But the heart of Pharaoh became hard, and he did not let the people go.
(7) 나그네를 대접하라. 아브라함. 히 13
(히 13:1-3, 개역) [1] 형제 사랑하기를 계속하고 [2] 손님 대접하기를 잊지 말라 이로써 부지중에 천사들을 대접한 이들이 있었느니라 [3] 자기도 함께 갇힌 것 같이 갇힌 자를 생각하고 자기도 몸을 가졌은즉 학대 받는 자를 생각하라
(히 13:1-3, NKJV) [1] Let brotherly love continue. [2] Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels. [3] Remember the prisoners as if chained with them--those who are mistreated--since you yourselves are in the body also.
(8) 천국을 예비하심. 요 14.

I go to prepare a place for you. [3] "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

3. 독사에 물린 바울.
(1) 사단의 공격. 틈을 봄. 우는 사자같이
(벧전 5:5-10, 개역) [5] 젊은 자들아 이와 같이 장로들에게 순복하고 다 서로 겸손으로 허리를 동이라 하나님이 교만한 자를 대적하시되 겸손한 자들에게는 은혜를 주시느니라 [6] 그러므로 하나님의 능하신 손 아래서 겸손하라 때가 되면 너희를 높이시리라 [7] 너희 염려를 다 주께 맡겨 버리라 이는 저가 너희를 권고하심이니라 [8] 근신하라 깨어라 너희 대적 마귀가 우는 사자 같이 두루 다니며 삼킬 자를 찾나니 [9] 너희는 믿음을 굳게 하여 저를 대적하라 이는 세상에 있는 너희 형제들도 동일한 고난을 당하는 줄을 앎이니라 [10] 모든 은혜의 하나님 곧 그리스도 안에서 너희를 부르사 자기의 영원한 영광에 들어가게 하신 이가 잠간 고난을 받은 너희를 친히 온전케 하시며 굳게 하시며 강하게 하시며 터를 견고케 하시리라
(벧전 5:5-10, NKJV) [5] Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble." [6] Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, [7] casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. [8] Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. [9] Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. [10] But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
(2) 갑작스런 공격. 아멜렉 출 17장
(출 17:8-16, 개역) [8] 때에 아말렉이 이르러 이스라엘과 르비딤에서 싸우니라 [9] 모세가 여호수아에게 이르되 우리를 위하여 사람들을 택하여 나가서 아말렉과 싸우라 내일 내가 하나님의 지팡이를 손에 잡고 산꼭대기에 서리라 [10] 여호수아가 모세의 말대로 행하여 아말렉과 싸우고 모세와 아론과 훌은 산꼭대기에 올라가서 [11] 모세가 손을 들면 이스라엘이 이기고 손을 내리면 아말렉이 이기더니 [12] 모세의 팔이 피곤하매 그들이 돌을 가져다가 모세의 아래에 놓아 그로 그 위에 앉게 하고 아론과 훌이 하나는 이편에서 하나는 저편에서 모세의 손을 붙들어 올렸더니 그 손이 해가 지도록 내려오지 아니한지라 [13] 여호수아가 칼날로 아말렉과 그 백성을 쳐서 파하니라 [14] 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 이것을 책에 기록하여 기념하게 하고 여호수아의 귀에 외워 들리라 내가 아말렉을 도말하여 천하에서 기억함이 없게 하리라 [15] 모세가 단을 쌓고 그 이름을 여호와 닛시라 하고 [16] 가로되 여호와께서 맹세하시기를 여호와가 아말렉으로 더불어 대대로 싸우리라 하셨다 하였더라
(출 17:8-16, NKJV) [8] Now Amalek came and fought with Israel in Rephidim. [9] And Moses said to Joshua, "Choose us some men and go out, fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand." [10] So Joshua did as Moses said to him, and fought with Amalek. And Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. [11] And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. [13] So Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. [14] Then the LORD said to Moses, "Write this for a memorial in the book and recount it in the hearing of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven." [15] And Moses built an altar and called its name, The-LORD-Is-My-Banner; [16] for he said, "Because the LORD has sworn： the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation."

(4) 환난. 욥의 환난
(욥 1:6-11, 개역) [6] 하루는 하나님의 아들들이 와서 여호와 앞에 섰고 사단도 그들 가운데 왔는지라 [7] 여호와께서 사단에게 이르시되 네가 어디서 왔느냐 사단이 여호와께 대답하여 가로되 땅에 두루 돌아 여기 저기 다녀왔나이다 [8] 여호와께서 사단에게 이르시되 네가 내 종 욥을 유의하여 보았느냐 그와 같이 순전하고 정직하여 하나님을 경외하며 악에서 떠난 자가 세상에 없느니라 [9] 사단이 여호와께 대답하여 가로되 욥이 어찌 까닭없이 하나님을 경외하리이까 [10] 그와 그 집과 그 모든 소유물을 산울로 두르심이 아니니이까 주께서 그 손으로 하는 바를 복되게 하사 그 소유물로 땅에 널리게 하셨음이니이다 [11] 이제 주의 손을 펴서 그의 모든 소유물을 치소서 그리하시면 정녕 대면하여 주를 욕하리이다
(욥 1:6-11, NKJV) [6] Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them. [7] And the LORD said to Satan, "From where do you come?" So Satan answered the LORD and said, "From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it." (마 14:15-17, 개역) [15] 저녁이 되매 제자들이 나아와 가로되 이곳은 빈 들이요 때도 이미 저물었으니 무리를 보내어 마을에 들어가 먹을 것을 사먹게 하소서 [16] 예수께서 가라사대 갈 것 없다 너희가 먹을 것을 주라 [17] 제자들이 가로되 여기 우리에게 있는 것은 떡 다섯 개와 물고기 두 마리뿐이니이다

Send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages and buy themselves food." [16] But Jesus said to them, "They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat." (신 20:1-3, 개역) [1] 네가 나가 대적과 싸우려 할 때에 말과 병거와 민중이 너보다 많음을 볼지라도 그들을 두려워 말라 애굽 땅에서 너를 인도하여 내신 네 하나님 여호와께서 너와 함께 하시느니라 [2] 너희가 싸울 곳에 가까이 가거든 제사장은 백성에게 나아가서 고하여 [3] 그들에게 이르기를 이스라엘아 들으라 너희가 오늘날 너희의 대적과 싸우려고 나아왔으니 마음에 겁내지 말며 두려워 말며 떨지 말며 그들로 인하여 놀라지 말라
(신 20:1-3, NKJV) [1] "When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the LORD your God is with you, who brought you up from the land of Egypt. [2] "So it shall be, when you are on the verge of battle, that the priest shall approach and speak to the people. (Php 1:6, NKJV) being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
(9) 생각으로 공격. 요 13
(요 13:1-2, 개역) [1] 유월절 전에 예수께서 자기가 세상을 떠나 아버지께로 돌아가실 때가 이른 줄 아시고 세상에 있는 자기 사람들을 사랑하시되 끝까지 사랑하시니라 [2] 마귀가 벌써 시몬의 아들 가룟 유다의 마음에 예수를 팔려는 생각을 넣었더니

4. 아무해도 없이 떨어버림
(1) 막16을 이루심
(막 16:17-18, 개역) [17] 믿는 자들에게는 이런 표적이 따르리니 곧 저희가 내 이름으로 귀신을 쫓아내며 새 방언을 말하며 [18] 뱀을 집으며 무슨 독을 마실지라도 해를 받지 아니하며 병든 사람에게 손을 얹은즉 나으리라 하시더라

6. 로마에 도착함 바울을 영접하는 로마교인들.
(1) 천국 시민들. 빌 3:19-21

7. 위로와 담대함을 얻음.
외롭고 불안한 미래
(1) 서로 위로하라. 살전 4
(살전 4:13-18, 개역) [13] 형제들아 자는 자들에 관하여는 너희가 알지 못함을 우리가 원치 아니하노니 이는 소망 없는 다른 이와 같이 슬퍼하지 않게 하려 함이라 [14] 우리가 예수의 죽었다가 다시 사심을 믿을진대 이와 같이 예수 안에서 자는 자들도 하나님이 저와 함께 데리고 오시리라 [15] 우리가 주의 말씀으로 너희에게 이것을 말하노니 주 강림하실 때까지 우리 살아 남아 있는 자도 자는 자보다 결단코 앞서지 못하리라 [16] 주께서 호령과 천사장의 소리와 하나님의 나팔로 친히 하늘로 좇아 강림하시리니 그리스도 안에서 죽은 자들이 먼저 일어나고 [17] 그 후에 우리 살아 남은 자도 저희와 함께 구름 속으로 끌어올려 공중에서 주를 영접하게 하시리니 그리하여 우리가 항상 주와 함께 있으리라 [18] 그러므로 이 여러 말로 서로 위로하라

[12] For thus says the LORD： "Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, And the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream. Then you shall feed; On her sides shall you be carried, And be dandled on her knees. [13] As one whom his mother comforts, So I will comfort you; And you shall be comforted in Jerusalem."
(12) 사랑의 나라. 고전 13
(고전 13:13, 개역) 그런즉 믿음, 소망, 사랑, 이 세가지는 항상 있을 것인데 그 중에 제일은 사랑이라
(1Co 13:13, NKJV) And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
(13) 평화의 나라. 사 11
(사 11:6-9, 개역) [6] 그 때에 이리가 어린 양과 함께 거하며 표범이 어린 염소와 함께 누우며 송아지와 어린 사자와 살찐 짐승이 함께 있어 어린 아이에게 끌리며 [7] 암소와 곰이 함께 먹으며 그것들의 새끼가 함께 엎드리며 사자가 소처럼 풀을 먹을 것이며 [8] 젖먹는 아이가 독사의 구멍에서 장난하며 젖뗀 어린 아이가 독사의 굴에 손을 넣을 것이라 [9] 나의 거룩한 산 모든 곳에서 해됨도 없고 상함도 없을 것이니 이는 물이 바다를 덮음 같이 여호와를 아는 지식이 세상에 충만할 것임이니라
(사 11:6-9, NKJV) [6] "The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them. [7] The cow and the bear shall graze; Their young ones shall lie down together; And the lion shall eat straw like the ox. [8] The nursing child shall play by the cobra's hole, And the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper's den. [9] They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD As the waters cover the sea.
(14) 아름다운 나라
(사 35:1-2, 개역) [1] 광야와 메마른 땅이 기뻐하며 사막이 백합화 같이 피어 즐거워하며 [2] 무성하게 피어 기쁜 노래로 즐거워하며 레바논의 영광과 갈멜과 사론의 아름다움을 얻을 것이라 그것들이 여호와의 영광 곧 우리 하나님의 아름다움을 보리로다
(사 35:1-2, NKJV) [1] The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them, And the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose; [2] It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice, Even with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, The excellence of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of the LORD, The excellency of our God.
(14) 의의 나라. 계 19. 사 32:1. 사 11:4-5 사 9:6-7
(사 32:1, 개역) 보라 장차 한 왕이 의로 통치할 것이요 방백들이 공평으로 정사할 것이며
(Is 32:1, NKJV) Behold, a king will reign in righteousness, And princes will rule with justice.
(사 11:4-5, 개역) [4] 공의로 빈핍한 자를 심판하며 정직으로 세상의 겸손한 자를 판단할 것이며 그 입의 막대기로 세상을 치며 입술의 기운으로 악인을 죽일 것이며 [5] 공의로 그 허리띠를 삼으며 성실로 몸의 띠를 삼으리라
(사 11:4-5, NKJV) [4] But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked. [5] Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulness the belt of His waist.
(16) 사망 애통 곡하고 아픈것이 없음. 계 21:3-4
(계 21:1-4, 개역) [1] 또 내가 새 하늘과 새 땅을 보니 처음 하늘과 처음 땅이 없어졌고 바다도 다시 있지 않더라 [2] 또 내가 보매 거룩한 성 새 예루살렘이 하나님께로부터 하늘에서 내려오니 그 예비한 것이 신부가 남편을 위하여 단장한 것 같더라 [3] 내가 들으니 보좌에서 큰 음성이 나서 가로되 보라 하나님의 장막이 사람들과 함께 있으매 하나님이 저희와 함께 거하시리니 저희는 하나님의 백성이 되고 하나님은 친히 저희와 함께 계셔서 [4] 모든 눈물을 그 눈에서 씻기시매 다시 사망이 없고 애통하는 것이나 곡하는 것이나 아픈 것이 다시 있지 아니하리니 처음 것들이 다 지나갔음이러라

[4] "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."
(17) 모든 눈물을 씻어줌. 계 7:9-17
(계 7:9-17, 개역) [9] 이 일 후에 내가 보니 각 나라와 족속과 백성과 방언에서 아무라도 능히 셀 수 없는 큰 무리가 흰 옷을 입고 손에 종려 가지를 들고 보좌 앞과 어린 양 앞에 서서 [10] 큰 소리로 외쳐 가로되 구원하심이 보좌에 앉으신 우리 하나님과 어린 양에게 있도다 하니 [11] 모든 천사가 보좌와 장로들과 네 생물의 주위에 섰다가 보좌 앞에 엎드려 얼굴을 대고 하나님께 경배하여 [12] 가로되 아멘 찬송과 영광과 지혜와 감사와 존귀와 능력과 힘이 우리 하나님께 세세토록 있을지로다 아멘 하더라 [13] 장로 중에 하나가 응답하여 내게 이르되 이 흰 옷 입은 자들이 누구며 또 어디서 왔느뇨 [14] 내가 가로되 내 주여 당신이 알리이다 하니 그가 나더러 이르되 이는 큰 환난에서 나오는 자들인데 어린 양의 피에 그 옷을 씻어 희게 하였느니라 [15] 그러므로 그들이 하나님의 보좌 앞에 있고 또 그의 성전에서 밤낮 하나님을 섬기매 보좌에 앉으신 이가 그들 위에 장막을 치시리니 [16] 저희가 다시 주리지도 아니하며 목마르지도 아니하고 해나 아무 뜨거운 기운에 상하지 아니할지니 [17] 이는 보좌 가운데 계신 어린 양이 저희의 목자가 되사 생명수 샘으로 인도하시고 하나님께서 저희 눈에서 모든 눈물을 씻어 주실 것임이러라

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."
(18) 이전 것은 지나갔음. 계 21:1-2

(19) 이전것은 생각나지 않음. 사 65:
(사 65:17-18, 개역) [17] 보라 내가 새 하늘과 새 땅을 창조하나니 이전 것은 기억되거나 마음에 생각나지 아니할 것이라 [18] 너희는 나의 창조하는 것을 인하여 영원히 기뻐하며 즐거워할지니라 보라 내가 예루살렘으로 즐거움을 창조하며 그 백성으로 기쁨을 삼고
(사 65:17-18, NKJV) [17] "For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former shall not be remembered or come to mind. [18] But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create; For behold, I create Jerusalem as a rejoicing, And her people a joy.
(20) 썩더쇠 아니하는 유업을 얻음.
(벧전 1:3-4, 개역) [3] 찬송하리로다 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 아버지 하나님이 그 많으신 긍휼대로 예수 그리스도의 죽은 자 가운데서 부활하심으로 말미암아 우리를 거듭나게 하사 산 소망이 있게 하시며 [4] 썩지 않고 더럽지 않고 쇠하지 아니하는 기업을 잇게 하시나니 곧 너희를 위하여 하늘에 간직하신 것이라
(벧전 1:3-4, NKJV) [3] Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, [4] to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,
(21) 소망중에 즐거워하라.
(롬 5:3-4, 개역) [3] 다만 이뿐 아니라 우리가 환난 중에도 즐거워하나니 이는 환난은 인내를, [4] 인내는 연단을, 연단은 소망을 이루는 줄 앎이로다
(롬 5:3-4, NKJV) [3] And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; [4] and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
(롬 12:9-13, 개역) [9] 사랑엔 거짓이 없나니 악을 미워하고 선에 속하라 [10] 형제를 사랑하여 서로 우애하고 존경하기를 서로 먼저 하며 [11] 부지런하여 게으르지 말고 열심을 품고 주를 섬기라 [12] 소망 중에 즐거워하며 환난 중에 참으며 기도에 항상 힘쓰며 [13] 성도들의 쓸 것을 공급하며 손 대접하기를 힘쓰라
(롬 12:9-13, NKJV) [9] Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. [10] Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; [11] not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; [12] rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; [13] distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.
(22) 항상 기뻐하라.
(살전 5:16-18, 개역) [16] 항상 기뻐하라 [17] 쉬지 말고 기도하라 [18] 범사에 감사하라 이는 그리스도 예수 안에서 너희를 향하신 하나님의 뜻이니라
(살전 5:16-18, NKJV) [16] Rejoice always, [17] pray without ceasing, [18] in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
사랑하는 성도 여러분,
결국 바울과 일행은 하나님의 말씀대로 풍랑에서 구원받아 멜리데 섬에 이르렀습니다.
우리의 구원자는 예수시며 죄와 사망에서 뿐만아니라 여러 가지 상황에서 우리를 구원해 주십니다.
갑자기 독사가 물었어도 상하지 않았습니다.
우리는 하나님의 특별하신 보호하심 속에 있습니다.
마가 복음 16장의 말씀을 이루신것입니다.
그레데섬의 사람들의 친절함입니다.
하나님의 예비하심입니다.
질병을 고쳤고 복음이 전파되었음이 분명합니다.
어느 상황에서도 복음을 전하여 사람들을 지옥불에서 건져야 한다는 열정입니다.
바울은 결국 로마에 도착하였습니다.
성도들의 환영을 받았습니다.
우리는 서로 사랑하고 위로하며 격려 해야 합니다.
바울이 위로를 받았고 담대함을 얻었습니다.
낮선곳 죄수로 도착한 로마에서 바울은 성도들의 사랑을 환영을 통하여 하나님의 임재를 체험한 것입니다.
이것은 마치 우리가 천국에 도착한것과 비교됩니다.
우리도 인생 항해를 마치고 천국에 도착하면 세상 고생을 다 잊어버리고 감격가운데 주님의 얼굴을 뵙게 될것입니다.
그리워하던 성도들을 만나게 될것입니다.
영원한 안식이요 기쁨이요 영광입니다.
오늘도, 풍랑이는 세상에서 날마다 승리를 주시는 주님의 은혜로 날아 올라서 끝까지 충성을 다 하다가 사모하던 천국문에 이르러 감격의 눈물로 주님 얼굴 뵈옵는 복된 우리 모두가 될수 있기를 우리주 예수그리스도의 이름으로 간절히 축원합니다. 아멘!
