<죽은 자가 살아남>

(행 20:1-16, 개역) [1] 소요가 그치매 바울이 제자들을 불러 권한 후에 작별하고 떠나 마게도냐로 가니라 [2] 그 지경으로 다녀가며 여러 말로 제자들에게 권하고 헬라에 이르러 [3] 거기 석 달을 있다가 배 타고 수리아로 가고자 할 그 때에 유대인들이 자기를 해하려고 공모하므로 마게도냐로 다녀 돌아가기를 작정하니 [4] 아시아까지 함께 가는 자는 베뢰아 사람 부로의 아들 소바더와 데살로니가 사람 아리스다고와 세군도와 더베 사람 가이오와 및 디모데와 아시아 사람 두기오와 드로비모라 [5] 그들은 먼저 가서 드로아에서 우리를 기다리더라 [6] 우리는 무교절 후에 빌립보에서 배로 떠나 닷새 만에 드로아에 있는 그들에게 가서 이레를 머무니라 [7] 안식 후 첫날에 우리가 떡을 떼려 하여 모였더니 바울이 이튿날 떠나고자 하여 저희에게 강론할 새 말을 밤중까지 계속하매 [8] 우리의 모인 윗다락에 등불을 많이 켰는데 [9] 유두고라 하는 청년이 창에 걸터 앉았다가 깊이 졸더니 바울이 강론하기를 더 오래 하매 졸음을 이기지 못하여 삼층 누에서 떨어지거늘 일으켜 보니 죽었는지라 [10] 바울이 내려가서 그 위에 엎드려 그 몸을 안고 말하되 떠들지 말라 생명이 저에게 있다 하고 [11] 올라가 떡을 떼어 먹고 오랫동안 곧 날이 새기까지 이야기하고 떠나니라 [12] 사람들이 살아난 아이를 데리고 와서 위로를 적지 않게 받았더라 [13] 우리는 앞서 배를 타고 앗소에서 바울을 태우려고 그리로 행선하니 이는 자기가 도보로 가고자 하여 이렇게 정하여 준 것이라 [14] 바울이 앗소에서 우리를 만나니 우리가 배에 올리고 미둘레네에 가서 [15] 거기서 떠나 이튿날 기오 앞에 오고 그 이튿날 사모에 들리고 또 그 다음날 밀레도에 이르니라 [16] 바울이 아시아에서 지체치 않기 위하여 에베소를 지나 행선하기로 작정하였으니 이는 될 수 있는 대로 오순절 안에 예루살렘에 이르려고 급히 감이러라

(행 20:1-16, NKJV) [1] After the uproar had ceased, Paul called the disciples to himself, embraced them, and departed to go to Macedonia. [2] Now when he had gone over that region and encouraged them with many words, he came to Greece [3] and stayed three months. And when the Jews plotted against him as he was about to sail to Syria, he decided to return through Macedonia. [4] And Sopater of Berea accompanied him to Asia--also Aristarchus and Secundus of the Thessalonians, and Gaius of Derbe, and Timothy, and Tychicus and Trophimus of Asia. [5] These men, going ahead, waited for us at Troas. [6] But we sailed away from Philippi after the Days of Unleavened Bread, and in five days joined them at Troas, where we stayed seven days. [7] Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight. [8] There were many lamps in the upper room where they were gathered together. [9] And in a window sat a certain young man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep. He was overcome by sleep; and as Paul continued speaking, he fell down from the third story and was taken up dead. [10] But Paul went down, fell on him, and embracing him said, "Do not trouble yourselves, for his life is in him." [11] Now when he had come up, had broken bread and eaten, and talked a long while, even till daybreak, he departed. [12] And they brought the young man in alive, and they were not a little comforted. [13] Then we went ahead to the ship and sailed to Assos, there intending to take Paul on board; for so he had given orders, intending himself to go on foot. [14] And when he met us at Assos, we took him on board and came to Mitylene. [15] We sailed from there, and the next day came opposite Chios. The following day we arrived at Samos and stayed at Trogyllium. The next day we came to Miletus. [16] For Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus, so that he would not have to spend time in Asia; for he was hurrying to be at Jerusalem, if possible, on the Day of Pentecost.

 

에베소에서 2년간 두란노 서원을 세우고 말씀을 전하자 그곳에서 아데미 우상을 섬기면서 돈을 벌던 사람들이 소동을 이르켜 교회를 핍박하였습니다. 바울은 소동을 일으킨 군중속으로 들어가려고 하였지만 동료들의 만류로 그쳤고 이제 에베소를 떠나 빌립보, 데살로니가, 고린도 교회가 있는 마게도니아를 다니면서 제자들을 권면하고 다시 드로아로 왔습니다. 약 세달 정도인데 그동안 바울은 로마서를 썼으며 나가서 그곳에서 예루살렘 교회를 위하여 모금한 헌금을 가져 오게 되었습니다. 이방교회가 이제 예루살렘교회를 돕게 되었고 이방 교회의 대표 7명도 함께 동행하게 되었습니다.

서로 돕는 아름다운 모습입니다.

바울은 예루살렘에 가는 도중에 드로아에서 말씀을 전하였는데 밤중에 설교가 길어지는 가운데 한 청년이 3층 창문에 걸터 앉아있다가 졸음을 이기지 못하고 떨어져서 죽고 말았습니다. 그러나 바울은 제자들을 조용히 하라고 한 후에 자신의 몸을 덮었고 청년은 살아났습니다. 하나님은 죽은 자도 살리시며 없는 것도 있는 것 같이 부르시는 분이십니다. 나사로를 살리신 주님은 어저께나 오늘이나 영원히 동일하십니다.

그 후에 바울은 다른 사람들은 배로 가게 하고 홀로 앗소까지 약 20마일을 걸어서 갔습니다. 이것은 분명 주님과의 깊은 사귐을 위한 의도적 행위라고 생각됩니다. 목회 선교는 영적인 공급이 항상 필요합니다. 바울은 오순절 전에 예루살렘에 도착하기 원했습니다. 이것은 헌금을 속히 전하기 위함이요 더 많은 사람들이 모이는 오순절에 효과적으로 전도하기 위함입니다.

바울은 주님의 마음을 닮아서 전도와 선교에 대한 그 열정이 대단합니다. 오늘 말씀을 듣는 가운데 모인 우리들 에게도 성령께서 이런 열정을 부어주시기를 기원합니다.

 

1. 소요가 그치매.

(1) 아데미 우상

다이아나 여신과 관련된 우상

(행 19:23-28, 개역) [23] 그 때쯤 되어 이 도로 인하여 적지 않은 소동이 있었으니 [24] 즉 데메드리오라 하는 어떤 은장색이 아데미의 은감실을 만들어 직공들로 적지 않은 벌이를 하게 하더니 [25] 그가 그 직공들과 이러한 영업하는 자들을 모아 이르되 여러분도 알거니와 우리의 유족한 생활이 이 업에 있는데 [26] 이 바울이 에베소뿐 아니라 거의 아시아 전부를 통하여 허다한 사람을 권유하여 말하되 사람의 손으로 만든 것들은 신이 아니라 하니 이는 그대들도 보고 들은 것이라 [27] 우리의 이 영업만 천하여질 위험이 있을 뿐 아니라 큰 여신 아데미의 전각도 경홀히 여김이 되고 온 아시아와 천하가 위하는 그의 위엄도 떨어질까 하노라 하더라 [28] 저희가 이 말을 듣고 분이 가득하여 외쳐 가로되 크다 에베소 사람의 아데미여 하니

(행 19:23-28, NKJV) [23] And about that time there arose a great commotion about the Way. [24] For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, who made silver shrines of Diana, brought no small profit to the craftsmen. [25] He called them together with the workers of similar occupation, and said： "Men, you know that we have our prosperity by this trade. [26] "Moreover you see and hear that not only at Ephesus, but throughout almost all Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away many people, saying that they are not gods which are made with hands. [27] "So not only is this trade of ours in danger of falling into disrepute, but also the temple of the great goddess Diana may be despised and her magnificence destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worship." [28] Now when they heard this, they were full of wrath and cried out, saying, "Great is Diana of the Ephesians!"

 

(2) 이스라엘의 범죄

(왕하 21:1-9, 개역) [1] 므낫세가 위에 나아갈 때에 나이 십이 세라 예루살렘에서 오십오 년을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 헵시바더라 [2] 므낫세가 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하여 여호와께서 이스라엘 자손 앞에서 쫓아내신 이방 사람의 가증한 일을 본받아서 [3] 그 부친 히스기야의 헐어버린 산당을 다시 세우며 이스라엘 왕 아합의 소위를 본받아 바알을 위하여 단을 쌓으며 아세라 목상을 만들며 하늘의 일월성신을 숭배하여 섬기며 [4] 여호와께서 전에 이르시기를 내가 내 이름을 예루살렘에 두리라 하신 여호와의 전의 단들을 쌓고 [5] 또 여호와의 전 두 마당에 하늘의 일월성신을 위하여 단들을 쌓고 [6] 또 그 아들을 불 가운데로 지나게 하며 점치며 사술을 행하며 신접한 자와 박수를 신임하여 여호와 보시기에 악을 많이 행하여 그 진노를 격발하였으며 [7] 또 자기가 만든 아로새긴 아세라 목상을 전에 세웠더라 옛적에 여호와께서 이 전에 대하여 다윗과 그 아들 솔로몬에게 이르시기를 내가 이스라엘 모든 지파 중에서 택한 이 전과 예루살렘에 내 이름을 영원히 둘지라 [8] 만일 이스라엘이 나의 모든 명령과 나의 종 모세의 명한 모든 율법을 지켜 행하면 내가 그들의 발로 다시는 그 열조에게 준 땅에서 떠나 유리하지 않게 하리라 하셨으나 [9] 이 백성이 듣지 아니하였고 므낫세의 꾀임을 받고 악을 행한 것이 여호와께서 이스라엘 자손 앞에서 멸하신 열방보다 더욱 심하였더라

(왕하 21:1-9, NKJV) [1] Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Hephzibah. [2] And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, according to the abominations of the nations whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel. [3] For he rebuilt the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; he raised up altars for Baal, and made a wooden image, as Ahab king of Israel had done; and he worshiped all the host of heaven and served them. [4] He also built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD had said, "In Jerusalem I will put My name." [5] And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD. [6] Also he made his son pass through the fire, practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft, and consulted spiritists and mediums. He did much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him to anger. [7] He even set a carved image of Asherah that he had made, in the house of which the LORD had said to David and to Solomon his son, "In this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put My name forever; [8] "and I will not make the feet of Israel wander anymore from the land which I gave their fathers--only if they are careful to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that My servant Moses commanded them." [9] But they paid no attention, and Manasseh seduced them to do more evil than the nations whom the LORD had destroyed before the children of Israel.

 

(3) 아덴

(행 17:16, 개역) 바울이 아덴에서 저희를 기다리다가 온 성에 우상이 가득한 것을 보고 마음에 분하여

(Ac 17:16, NKJV) Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was provoked within him when he saw that the city was given over to idols.

 

(4) 탐심

(골 3:5, 개역) 그러므로 땅에 있는 지체를 죽이라 곧 음란과 부정과 사욕과 악한 정욕과 탐심이니 탐심은 우상 숭배니라

(Col 3:5, NKJV) Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth： fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

 

(5) 시115

(시 115:1-11, 개역) [1] 여호와여 영광을 우리에게 돌리지 마옵소서 우리에게 돌리지 마옵소서 오직 주의 인자하심과 진실하심을 인하여 주의 이름에 돌리옵소서 [2] 어찌하여 열방으로 저희 하나님이 이제 어디 있느냐 말하게 하리이까 [3] 오직 우리 하나님은 하늘에 계셔서 원하시는 모든 것을 행하셨나이다 [4] 저희 우상은 은과 금이요 사람의 수공물이라 [5] 입이 있어도 말하지 못하며 눈이 있어도 보지 못하며 [6] 귀가 있어도 듣지 못하며 코가 있어도 맡지 못하며 [7] 손이 있어도 만지지 못하며 발이 있어도 걷지 못하며 목구멍으로 소리도 못하느니라 [8] 우상을 만드는 자와 그것을 의지하는 자가 다 그와 같으리로다 [9] 이스라엘아 여호와를 의지하라 그는 너희 도움이시요 너희 방패시로다 [10] 아론의 집이여 여호와를 의지하라 그는 너희 도움이시요 너희 방패시로다 [11] 여호와를 경외하는 너희는 여호와를 의지하라 그는 너희 도움이시요 너희 방패시로다

(시 115:1-11, NKJV) [1] Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, But to Your name give glory, Because of Your mercy, Because of Your truth. [2] Why should the Gentiles say, "So where is their God?" [3] But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases. [4] Their idols are silver and gold, The work of men's hands. [5] They have mouths, but they do not speak; Eyes they have, but they do not see; [6] They have ears, but they do not hear; Noses they have, but they do not smell; [7] They have hands, but they do not handle; Feet they have, but they do not walk; Nor do they mutter through their throat. [8] Those who make them are like them; So is everyone who trusts in them. [9] O Israel, trust in the LORD; He is their help and their shield. [10] O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD; He is their help and their shield. [11] You who fear the LORD, trust in the LORD; He is their help and their shield.

 

(6) 사 44

(사 44:15-17, 개역) [15] 무릇 이 나무는 사람이 화목을 삼는 것이어늘 그가 그것을 가지고 자기 몸을 더웁게도 하고 그것으로 불을 피워서 떡을 굽기도 하고 그것으로 신상을 만들어 숭배하며 우상을 만들고 그 앞에 부복하기도 하는구나 [16] 그 중에 얼마는 불사르고 얼마는 고기를 삶아 먹기도 하며 고기를 구워 배불리기도 하며 또 몸을 더웁게 하여 이르기를 아하 따뜻하다 내가 불을 보았구나 하면서 [17] 그 나머지로 신상 곧 자기의 우상을 만들고 그 앞에 부복하여 경배하며 그것에게 기도하여 이르기를 너는 나의 신이니 나를 구원하라 하는도다

(사 44:15-17, NKJV) [15] Then it shall be for a man to burn, For he will take some of it and warm himself; Yes, he kindles it and bakes bread; Indeed he makes a god and worships it; He makes it a carved image, and falls down to it. [16] He burns half of it in the fire; With this half he eats meat; He roasts a roast, and is satisfied. He even warms himself and says, "Ah! I am warm, I have seen the fire." [17] And the rest of it he makes into a god, His carved image. He falls down before it and worships it, Prays to it and says, "Deliver me, for you are my god!"

 

(7) 불순종

(삼상 15:20-23, 개역) [20] 사울이 사무엘에게 이르되 나는 실로 여호와의 목소리를 청종하여 여호와께서 보내신 길로 가서 아말렉 왕 아각을 끌어왔고 아말렉 사람을 진멸하였으나 [21] 다만 백성이 그 마땅히 멸할 것 중에서 가장 좋은 것으로 길갈에서 당신의 하나님 여호와께 제사하려고 양과 소를 취하였나이다 [22] 사무엘이 가로되 여호와께서 번제와 다른 제사를 그 목소리 순종하는 것을 좋아하심 같이 좋아하시겠나이까 순종이 제사보다 낫고 듣는 것이 수양의 기름보다 나으니 [23] 이는 거역하는 것은 사술의 죄와 같고 완고한 것은 사신 우상에게 절하는 죄와 같음이라 왕이 여호와의 말씀을 버렸으므로 여호와께서도 왕을 버려 왕이 되지 못하게 하셨나이다

(삼상 15:20-23, NKJV) [20] And Saul said to Samuel, "But I have obeyed the voice of the LORD, and gone on the mission on which the LORD sent me, and brought back Agag king of Amalek; I have utterly destroyed the Amalekites. [21] "But the people took of the plunder, sheep and oxen, the best of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice to the LORD your God in Gilgal." [22] Then Samuel said： "Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams. [23] For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, He also has rejected you from being king."

 

(8) 사울

(삼상 28:6-9, 개역) [6] 사울이 여호와께 묻자오되 여호와께서 꿈으로도, 우림으로도, 선지자로도 그에게 대답지 아니하시므로 [7] 사울이 그 신하들에게 이르되 나를 위하여 신접한 여인을 찾으라 내가 그리로 가서 그에게 물으리라 그 신하들이 그에게 이르되 보소서 엔돌에 신접한 여인이 있나이다 [8] 사울이 다른 옷을 입어 변장하고 두 사람과 함께 갈새 그들이 밤에 그 여인에게 이르러는 사울이 가로되 청하노니 나를 위하여 신접한 술법으로 내가 네게 말하는 사람을 불러올리라 [9] 여인이 그에게 이르되 네가 사울의 행한 일 곧 그가 신접한 자와 박수를 이 땅에서 멸절시켰음을 아나니 네가 어찌하여 내 생명에 올무를 놓아 나를 죽게 하려느냐

(삼상 28:6-9, NKJV) [6] And when Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD did not answer him, either by dreams or by Urim or by the prophets. [7] Then Saul said to his servants, "Find me a woman who is a medium, that I may go to her and inquire of her." And his servants said to him, "In fact, there is a woman who is a medium at En Dor." [8] So Saul disguised himself and put on other clothes, and he went, and two men with him; and they came to the woman by night. And he said, "Please conduct a seance for me, and bring up for me the one I shall name to you." [9] Then the woman said to him, "Look, you know what Saul has done, how he has cut off the mediums and the spiritists from the land. Why then do you lay a snare for my life, to cause me to die?"

 

(9) 버려라

(창 35:1-5, 개역) [1] 하나님이 야곱에게 이르시되 일어나 벧엘로 올라가서 거기 거하며 네가 네 형 에서의 낯을 피하여 도망하던 때에 네게 나타났던 하나님께 거기서 단을 쌓으라 하신지라 [2] 야곱이 이에 자기 집 사람과 자기와 함께 한 모든 자에게 이르되 너희 중의 이방 신상을 버리고 자신을 정결케 하고 의복을 바꾸라 [3] 우리가 일어나 벧엘로 올라가자 나의 환난날에 내게 응답하시며 나의 가는 길에서 나와 함께 하신 하나님께 내가 거기서 단을 쌓으려 하노라 하매 [4] 그들이 자기 손에 있는 모든 이방 신상과 자기 귀에 있는 고리를 야곱에게 주는지라 야곱이 그것들을 세겜 근처 상수리나무 아래 묻고 [5] 그들이 발행하였으나 하나님이 그 사면 고을들로 크게 두려워하게 하신고로 야곱의 아들들을 추격하는 자가 없었더라

(창 35:1-5, NKJV) [1] Then God said to Jacob, "Arise, go up to Bethel and dwell there; and make an altar there to God, who appeared to you when you fled from the face of Esau your brother." [2] And Jacob said to his household and to all who were with him, "Put away the foreign gods that are among you, purify yourselves, and change your garments. [3] "Then let us arise and go up to Bethel; and I will make an altar there to God, who answered me in the day of my distress and has been with me in the way which I have gone." [4] So they gave Jacob all the foreign gods which were in their hands, and the earrings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the terebinth tree which was by Shechem. [5] And they journeyed, and the terror of God was upon the cities that were all around them, and they did not pursue the sons of Jacob.

 

(10) 엡 4

(엡 4:17-24, 개역) [17] 그러므로 내가 이것을 말하며 주 안에서 증거하노니 이제부터는 이방인이 그 마음의 허망한 것으로 행함 같이 너희는 행하지 말라 [18] 저희 총명이 어두워지고 저희 가운데 있는 무지함과 저희 마음이 굳어짐으로 말미암아 하나님의 생명에서 떠나 있도다 [19] 저희가 감각 없는 자 되어 자신을 방탕에 방임하여 모든 더러운 것을 욕심으로 행하되 [20] 오직 너희는 그리스도를 이같이 배우지 아니하였느니라 [21] 진리가 예수 안에 있는 것 같이 너희가 과연 그에게서 듣고 또한 그 안에서 가르침을 받았을진대 [22] 너희는 유혹의 욕심을 따라 썩어져 가는 구습을 좇는 옛 사람을 벗어버리고 [23] 오직 심령으로 새롭게 되어 [24] 하나님을 따라 의와 진리의 거룩함으로 지으심을 받은 새 사람을 입으라

(엡 4:17-24, NKJV) [17] This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, [18] having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; [19] who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. [20] But you have not so learned Christ, [21] if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus： [22] that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, [23] and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, [24] and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

 

(11) 고전 6

(고전 6:9-11, 개역) [9] 불의한 자가 하나님의 나라를 유업으로 받지 못할 줄을 알지 못하느냐 미혹을 받지 말라 음란하는 자나 우상 숭배하는 자나 간음하는 자나 탐색하는 자나 남색하는 자나 [10] 도적이나 탐람하는 자나 술취하는 자나 후욕하는 자나 토색하는 자들은 하나님의 나라를 유업으로 받지 못하리라 [11] 너희 중에 이와 같은 자들이 있더니 주 예수 그리스도의 이름과 우리 하나님의 성령 안에서 씻음과 거룩함과 의롭다 하심을 얻었느니라

(고전 6:9-11, NKJV) [9] Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, [10] nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. [11] And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

 

(12) 거룩하라.

(벧전 1:13-17, 개역) [13] 그러므로 너희 마음의 허리를 동이고 근신하여 예수 그리스도의 나타나실 때에 너희에게 가져올 은혜를 온전히 바랄지어다 [14] 너희가 순종하는 자식처럼 이전 알지 못할 때에 좇던 너희 사욕을 본 삼지 말고 [15] 오직 너희를 부르신 거룩한 자처럼 너희도 모든 행실에 거룩한 자가 되라 [16] 기록하였으되 내가 거룩하니 너희도 거룩할지어다 하셨느니라 [17] 외모로 보시지 않고 각 사람의 행위대로 판단하시는 자를 너희가 아버지라 부른즉 너희의 나그네로 있을 때를 두려움으로 지내라

(벧전 1:13-17, NKJV) [13] Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; [14] as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; [15] but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, [16] because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy." [17] And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one's work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear;

 

(13) 우상 가득한 이 세상

소환하다, 초청하다, 권하다, 훈계하다, 격려하다, 애원하다, 간구하다.

 

1. 고전 헬라어의 용법

 

동사 파라칼레오는 파라(parav, 3844: ~곁에)와 칼레오(kalevw, 2564: 부르다)에서 유래했으며, '자기 곁으로 부르다'를 의미한다. 이 단어는 다음과 같은 의미로 사용되었다.

 

(a) 파라칼레오는 '~로 부르다'를 의미한다(Xenopho.등). 사람을 불러 들이는 것, 도움을 요청하는 것, 초대하는 것, 불러 모으는 것과 같은 의미로 사용되었다.

 

(b) 파라칼레오는 '간청하다'를 의미한다(Epict. Diss등). 아들이 어머니에게 자기와 화해하기를 간청하는 것, 신들에 대한 기원으로, 어떤 일에 대해 신께 간청하는 것에 대해 사용되었다. 상위자가 하위자에게 요구할 때 그 요구는 제안이다. 이 경우에 요구하는 것은 권고에 가깝다.

 

(c) 파라칼레오는 '권고(면)하다, 격려하다'를 의미하며 또한 어떤 계획을 위하여, 예를 들면 복수의 계획을 위하여 설득하는 것에 대해 사용되었다.

 

(d) 파라칼레오는 '위로하다'를 의미한다. 슬픔의 때에 친절한 격려에서 위로로 나아간다(참조: O.Schmitz).

 

2. 70인역본의 용법

 

파라칼레오는 70인역본에서 약 130회 이상 나오며, 15개의 히브리어의 역어로 사용되었으나 대부분 나함(특히 니팔형과 피엘형으로)을 번역하고 있다. 따라서 파라칼레오는 나함을 대신할 수 있다.

 

(a) 나함은 '애석해하다', '가엾게 여기다'를 의미한다. 예를 들어 시 135:14에서 "여호와께서 그 종들을 긍휼히 여기시리로다"(참조: 신 32:36). 삿 2:18에서 "그들이 슬피 부르짖으므로 여호와께서 뜻을 돌리키셨다"(동정하셨다)에 나타난다.

 

(b) 나함은 '위로하다'를 의미한다. 시 119:50에서 '이 (말씀)은 나의 곤란 중에 위로라", 창 37:35에 "그 모든 자녀가 위로하되 그가 그 위로를 받지 아니하여" 등을 예로 들 수 있다.

 

(c) 파라칼레오가 다른 히브리 동의어를 나타내어 사용되는 곳에서는 역시 '격려하다', '강하게 하다'(신 3;28; 욥 4:3), '미혹시키다'(신 13:6), 또는 '인도하다'(출 15:3)라는 의미를 나타낸다(참조: G.Braumann).

 

3. 신약성경의 용법

 

파라칼레오는 신약성경에서 109회 나오며, ⒜ 파라칼레오는 '소환하다, 초청하다, 구하다, 간청하다' ⒝ '권면하다' ⒞ '위로하다, 격려하다'라는 의미를 나타낸다.

 

(a) 파라칼레오는 '부르다(소환하다), 초청하다, 구하다'는 의미를 나타낸다. 행 28:2에서 파라칼레오는 '(자기에게로) 부르다, 소환하다'라는 의미를 나타낸다: "토인들이 우리에게 특별한 동정을 하여 비가 오고 날이 차매 불을 피워 우리를 다 영접하더라".

행 28:14에서 파라칼레오는 '초청하다'라는 특별한 의미를 가진다: "거기서 형제를 만나 저희의 청함을 받아 이레를 함께 유하다가 로마로 가니라".

행 16:9이하; 행 8:31; 행 13:42에서도 유사하게 전도나 선교 사역에 대한 요청을 나타낸다.

공관복음의 모든 전통적 입장에서 파라칼레오는 '구하다', '간구하다'를 의미한다. 이 용법은 사람들이 도움을 얻기 위하여 예수님께 간구한 구절에서 나타난다(눅 7:4; 마 8:5; 막 5:12; 마 8:31; 눅 8:32; 또한 눅 15:28; 마 18:29).

마 26:53에서 파라칼레오는 예수님 자신에 대해 말한다: "너는 내가 내 아버지께 구하여 지금 열두 영 더 되는 천사를 보내시게 할 수 없는 줄로 아느냐".

 

(b) 파라칼레오는 '권면(고)하다'라는 의미를 나타낸다. 권면은 초대 기독교 예언자들의 과제로서 중요한 위치를 차지한다. 권면하는 것은 하나님의 이름으로 말하는 것과 성령의 능력으로 말하는 것을 의미한다. 파라칼레오는 사도의 설교에서 구원을 간청하는 선포에 대해 사용되었다.

"하나님이 우리로"라는 표현은 '하나님이 우리를 통하여'라고 번역할 수 있는데, 그렇다면 문제가 되는 것은 전도자의 권면의 말씀에 역사하시는 최고의 권위의 힘이다.

고후 6:1에서도 파라칼레오는 이러한 힘을 가진다: "우리가 하나님과 함께 일하는 자로서 너희를 권하노니 하나님의 은혜를 헛되이 받지 말라".

따라서 바울은 특별한 근거를 권면에 두었다. 그는 자기 글을 읽는 자들에게 직접적인 도덕적 훈게를 하지 않고 하나님이나 그리스도를 "통하여" 말한다. 곧 사도 바울은 자신의 훈계를 "하나님의 모든 자비하심으로"(롬 12:1), "우리 주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로"(고전 1:10), "그리스도의 온유와 관용으로"(고후 10:1) 중재된 것으로 생각한다. 동일한 개념이 살전 4:1과 살후 3:12의 우리가 주 "안에서" 권하다의 배후에 있다(빌 4:2). 행 15:32에서 선지자 유다와 실라가 형제들을 권면했다고 말한다. 권면은 교회 생활에 있어서 거의 고정적인 부분이다(참조: 행 16:40). 바울은 빌립보인들에게 서로 권면하라고 격려한다(빌 2:1). 무엇보다도 바울은 교회를 권면하기 위해 디모데를 파송한다(살전 3:2; 참조: 롬 12:18). 가장 초기 기독교 시대부터 이와 같이 입증된 권면의 사역은 아마도 바울 서신들의 종말 부분에서 특별히 발견되는 삽입구절들의 배경일 것이다(Sitz im Leben). 바울은 초대 교회의 이 전형적인 관습을 따라 이 공동체를 권면하는 것을 자신의 의무로 보았다(살전 4:1; 빌 4:2; 롬 12:1).

고후 1:3이하에서 바울은 환난과 고난과 사망에 대한 위로를 말한다: "우리의 모든 환난 중에서 우리를 위로하사 우리로 하여금 하나님께 받는 위로로써 모든 환난 중에 있는 자들을 능히 위로하게 하시는 이시로다"(고후 1:4).

그는 그리스도의 고난들과 자신의 고난들을 동일시하는 동시에 그리스도의 안위에 참여하는 것도 말하는 것이다. 이러한 사상적 노선은 사도 바울의 고난과 안위의 경험을 독자들의 상황에 적용함으로 더욱 발전한다. 고후 7:6(고후 7:4이하)에서 환난과 안위에 대한 주제가 다시 한번 나온다. 이 때에 바울은 디도에 의해서 또한 그가 고린도의 상황에 대하여 말해야 하는 바에 의하여 위로를 받는다(살전 3:7).

마 5:4에 나오는 애통하는 자에게 약속된 위로는 눅 6:24에 나오는 부요한 자에게 약속된 화와 비교된다. 마태에 의하면(바울에 있어서와 같이), 고난은 하나님의 위로로 총족된다. 누가는 양자택일을 제시한다. 곧 이생에 있어서 부유한 자는 내생에 있을 하나님의 위로를 기대할 수 없다는 것이다(눅 16:25). 위로는 하나님의 불변성에 근거하며, 이 불변성은 그리스도 안에서 표현된 하나님의 사랑의 불변성이다(살후 2:16; 살후 2:17).

[29] For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake, [30] having the same conflict which you saw in me and now hear is in me.

 

(6) 서로 기도하라

(약 5:16, 개역) 이러므로 너희 죄를 서로 고하며 병 낫기를 위하여 서로 기도하라 의인의 간구는 역사하는 힘이 많으니라

(Jms 5:16, NKJV) Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

 

(7) 서로 사랑하라

(요 13:34-35, 개역) [34] 새 계명을 너희에게 주노니 서로 사랑하라 내가 너희를 사랑한 것 같이 너희도 서로 사랑하라 [35] 너희가 서로 사랑하면 이로써 모든 사람이 너희가 내 제자인 줄 알리라

(요 13:34-35, NKJV) [34] "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. [35] "By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

 

(8) 함께 유업을 얻을자들

(갈 3:26-29, 개역) [26] 너희가 다 믿음으로 말미암아 그리스도 예수 안에서 하나님의 아들이 되었으니 [27] 누구든지 그리스도와 합하여 세례를 받은 자는 그리스도로 옷 입었느니라 [28] 너희는 유대인이나 헬라인이나 종이나 자주자나 남자나 여자 없이 다 그리스도 예수 안에서 하나이니라 [29] 너희가 그리스도께 속한 자면 곧 아브라함의 자손이요 약속대로 유업을 이을 자니라

(갈 3:26-29, NKJV) [26] For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. [27] For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. [28] There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 4. 드로아에서 안식후 첫날 모임

(요 20:1-2, 개역) [1] 안식 후 첫날 이른 아침 아직 어두울 때에 막달라 마리아가 무덤에 와서 돌이 무덤에서 옮겨간 것을 보고 [2] 시몬 베드로와 예수의 사랑하시던 그 다른 제자에게 달려가서 말하되 사람이 주를 무덤에서 가져다가 어디 두었는지 우리가 알지 못하겠다 하니

(요 20:1-2, NKJV) [1] Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb. [2] Then she ran and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and said to them, "They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him."

(Ac 20:7, NKJV) Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight.

 

(요 20:19, 개역) 이 날 곧 안식 후 첫날 저녁 때에 제자들이 유대인들을 두려워하여 모인 곳에 문들을 닫았더니 예수께서 오사 가운데 서서 가라사대 너희에게 평강이 있을지어다

(2) 떡을 뗌

(고전 11:23-27, 개역) [23] 내가 너희에게 전한 것은 주께 받은 것이니 곧 주 예수께서 잡히시던 밤에 떡을 가지사 [24] 축사하시고 떼어 가라사대 이것은 너희를 위하는 내 몸이니 이것을 행하여 나를 기념하라 하시고 [25] 식후에 또한 이와 같이 잔을 가지시고 가라사대 이 잔은 내 피로 세운 새 언약이니 이것을 행하여 마실 때마다 나를 기념하라 하셨으니 [26] 너희가 이 떡을 먹으며 이 잔을 마실 때마다 주의 죽으심을 오실 때까지 전하는 것이니라 [27] 그러므로 누구든지 주의 떡이나 잔을 합당치 않게 먹고 마시는 자는 주의 몸과 피를 범하는 죄가 있느니라

(5) 말씀을 배워라

(딤후 3:13-15, 개역) [13] 악한 사람들과 속이는 자들은 더욱 악하여져서 속이기도 하고 속기도 하나니 [14] 그러나 너는 배우고 확신한 일에 거하라 네가 뉘게서 배운 것을 알며 [15] 또 네가 어려서부터 성경을 알았나니 성경은 능히 너로 하여금 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 믿음으로 말미암아 구원에 이르는 지혜가 있게 하느니라

(딤후 3:13-15, NKJV) [13] But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. [14] But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, [15] and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

 

(6) 말씀을 묵상하라.

(골 3:15-17, 개역) [15] 그리스도의 평강이 너희 마음을 주장하게 하라 평강을 위하여 너희가 한 몸으로 부르심을 받았나니 또한 너희는 감사하는 자가 되라 [16] 그리스도의 말씀이 너희 속에 풍성히 거하여 모든 지혜로 피차 가르치며 권면하고 시와 찬미와 신령한 노래를 부르며 마음에 감사함으로 하나님을 찬양하고 [17] 또 무엇을 하든지 말에나 일에나 다 주 예수의 이름으로 하고 그를 힘입어 하나님 아버지께 감사하라

(골 3:15-17, NKJV) [15] And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. [16] Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. [17] And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

(딤후 3:16-17, NKJV) [16] All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, [17] that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

(10) 찬양

(고전 14:26, 개역) 그런즉 형제들아 어찌할꼬 너희가 모일 때에 각각 찬송시도 있으며 가르치는 말씀도 있으며 계시도 있으며 방언도 있으며 통역함도 있나니 모든 것을 덕을 세우기 위하여 하라

(1Co 14:26, NKJV) How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification.

 

(11) 기도

5. 유두고의 추락사와 살아남

(1) 육신의 한계

(마 26:41, 개역) 시험에 들지 않게 깨어 있어 기도하라 마음에는 원이로되 육신이 약하도다 하시고

(Mt 26:41, NKJV) "Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."

 

(고후 4:16-18, 개역) [16] 그러므로 우리가 낙심하지 아니하노니 겉 사람은 후패하나 우리의 속은 날로 새롭도다 [17] 우리의 잠시 받는 환난의 경한 것이 지극히 크고 영원한 영광의 중한 것을 우리에게 이루게 함이니 [18] 우리의 돌아보는 것은 보이는 것이 아니요 보이지 않는 것이니 보이는 것은 잠간이요 보이지 않는 것은 영원함이니라

(고후 4:16-18, NKJV) [16] Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. [17] For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, [18] while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. (2) 당황하지 말라.

(벧전 4:12-14, 개역) [12] 사랑하는 자들아 너희를 시련하려고 오는 불시험을 이상한 일 당하는 것 같이 이상히 여기지 말고 [13] 오직 너희가 그리스도의 고난에 참예하는 것으로 즐거워하라 이는 그의 영광을 나타내실 때에 너희로 즐거워하고 기뻐하게 하려 함이라 [14] 너희가 그리스도의 이름으로 욕을 받으면 복 있는 자로다 영광의 영 곧 하나님의 영이 너희 위에 계심이라

(벧전 4:12-14, NKJV) [12] Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; [13] but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. [14] If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.

 

(3) 담대하라

(요 16:33, 개역) 이것을 너희에게 이름은 너희로 내 안에서 평안을 누리게 하려 함이라 세상에서는 너희가 환난을 당하나 담대하라 내가 세상을 이기었노라 하시니라

(Jn 16:33, NKJV) "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."

 

(시 27:14, 개역) 너는 여호와를 바랄지어다 강하고 담대하며 여호와를 바랄지어다

(Ps 27:14, NKJV) Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!

 

(행 4:29, 개역) 주여 이제도 저희의 위협함을 하감하옵시고 또 종들로 하여금 담대히 하나님의 말씀을 전하게 하여 주옵시며

(Ac 4:29, NKJV) "Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word,

 

(행 23:11, 개역) 그 날 밤에 주께서 바울 곁에 서서 이르시되 담대하라 네가 예루살렘에서 나의 일을 증거한 것 같이 로마에서도 증거하여야 하리라 하시니라

(눅 5:5-6, NKJV) [5] But Simon answered and said to Him, "Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net." [6] And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.

(7) 고후 1.9

(고후 1:9, 개역) 우리 마음에 사형 선고를 받은 줄 알았으니 이는 우리로 자기를 의뢰하지 말고 오직 죽은 자를 다시 살리시는 하나님만 의뢰하게 하심이라

(2Co 1:9, NKJV) Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead,

 

(8) 부활의 능력

(고후 4:7-10, 개역) [7] 우리가 이 보배를 질그릇에 가졌으니 이는 능력의 심히 큰 것이 하나님께 있고 우리에게 있지 아니함을 알게 하려 함이라 [8] 우리가 사방으로 우겨쌈을 당하여도 싸이지 아니하며 답답한 일을 당하여도 낙심하지 아니하며 [9] 핍박을 받아도 버린 바 되지 아니하며 거꾸러뜨림을 당하여도 망하지 아니하고 [10] 우리가 항상 예수 죽인 것을 몸에 짊어짐은 예수의 생명도 우리 몸에 나타나게 하려 함이라

(1) 주님과의 친밀함

(요 14:21-23, 개역) [21] 나의 계명을 가지고 지키는 자라야 나를 사랑하는 자니 나를 사랑하는 자는 내 아버지께 사랑을 받을 것이요 나도 그를 사랑하여 그에게 나를 나타내리라 [22] 가룟인 아닌 유다가 가로되 주여 어찌하여 자기를 우리에게는 나타내시고 세상에게는 아니하려 하시나이까 [23] 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 사람이 나를 사랑하면 내 말을 지키리니 내 아버지께서 저를 사랑하실 것이요 우리가 저에게 와서 거처를 저와 함께 하리라

(요 14:21-23, NKJV) [21] "He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him." (롬 12:1-2, 개역) [1] 그러므로 형제들아 내가 하나님의 모든 자비하심으로 너희를 권하노니 너희 몸을 하나님이 기뻐하시는 거룩한 산 제사로 드리라 이는 너희의 드릴 영적 예배니라 [2] 너희는 이 세대를 본받지 말고 오직 마음을 새롭게 함으로 변화를 받아 하나님의 선하시고 기뻐하시고 온전하신 뜻이 무엇인지 분별하도록 하라

(롬 12:1-2, NKJV) [1] I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. [2] And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

(5) 말씀하심

(2Ch 16:9, NKJV) "For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars."

 

(대하 20:12, 개역) 우리 하나님이여 저희를 징벌하지 아니하시나이까 우리를 치러 오는 이 큰 무리를 우리가 대적할 능력이 없고 어떻게 할 줄도 알지 못하옵고 오직 주만 바라보나이다 하고

(9) 생각나게 하심

7. 오순절 안에 예루살렘에 이르려함.

(1) 헌금을 속히 전달하기 원함

(롬 15:25-29, 개역) [25] 그러나 이제는 내가 성도를 섬기는 일로 예루살렘에 가노니 [26] 이는 마게도냐와 아가야 사람들이 예루살렘 성도 중 가난한 자들을 위하여 기쁘게 얼마를 동정하였음이라 [27] 저희가 기뻐서 하였거니와 또한 저희는 그들에게 빚진 자니 만일 이방인들이 그들의 신령한 것을 나눠 가졌으면 육신의 것으로 그들을 섬기는 것이 마땅하니라 [28] 그러므로 내가 이 일을 마치고 이 열매를 저희에게 확증한 후에 너희에게를 지나 서바나로 가리라 [29] 내가 너희에게 나갈 때에 그리스도의 충만한 축복을 가지고 갈 줄을 아노라

(롬 15:25-29, NKJV) [25] But now I am going to Jerusalem to minister to the saints. [26] For it pleased those from Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints who are in Jerusalem. [27] It pleased them indeed, and they are their debtors. (딤후 4:1-5, 개역) [1] 하나님 앞과 산 자와 죽은 자를 심판하실 그리스도 예수 앞에서 그의 나타나실 것과 그의 나라를 두고 엄히 명하노니 [2] 너는 말씀을 전파하라 때를 얻든지 못 얻든지 항상 힘쓰라 범사에 오래 참음과 가르침으로 경책하며 경계하며 권하라 [3] 때가 이르리니 사람이 바른 교훈을 받지 아니하며 귀가 가려워서 자기의 사욕을 좇을 스승을 많이 두고 [4] 또 그 귀를 진리에서 돌이켜 허탄한 이야기를 좇으리라 [5] 그러나 너는 모든 일에 근신하여 고난을 받으며 전도인의 일을 하며 네 직무를 다하라

(3) 주님이 이땅에 오신 목적

(막 10:45, 개역) 인자의 온 것은 섬김을 받으려 함이 아니라 도리어 섬기려 하고 자기 목숨을 많은 사람의 대속물로 주려 함이니라

(Mk 10:45, NKJV) "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."

 

(요 6:38, 개역) 내가 하늘로서 내려온 것은 내 뜻을 행하려 함이 아니요

(Jn 6:38, NKJV) "For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

 

(요 10:10, 개역) 도적이 오는 것은 도적질하고 죽이고 멸망시키려는 것뿐이요 내가 온 것은 양으로 생명을 얻게 하고 더 풍성히 얻게 하려는 것이라

(Jn 10:10, NKJV) "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

(4) 우리를 이 세상에 보내신 목적

(행 1:8, 개역) 오직 성령이 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 권능을 받고 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅 끝까지 이르러 내 증인이 되리라 하시니라

(Ac 1:8, NKJV) "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

 

(마 28:19-20, 개역) [19] 그러므로 너희는 가서 모든 족속으로 제자를 삼아 아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 세례를 주고 [20] 내가 너희에게 분부한 모든 것을 가르쳐 지키게 하라 볼지어다 내가 세상 끝날까지 너희와 항상 함께 있으리라 하시니라

(마 28:19-20, NKJV) [19] "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, [20] "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

 

(6) 주님의 이름이 빌1

(빌 1:18-21, 개역) [18] 그러면 무엇이뇨 외모로 하나 참으로 하나 무슨 방도로 하든지 전파되는 것은 그리스도니 이로써 내가 기뻐하고 또한 기뻐하리라 [19] 이것이 너희 간구와 예수 그리스도의 성령의 도우심으로 내 구원에 이르게 할 줄 아는 고로 [20] 나의 간절한 기대와 소망을 따라 아무 일에든지 부끄럽지 아니하고 오직 전과 같이 이제도 온전히 담대하여 살든지 죽든지 내 몸에서 그리스도가 존귀히 되게 하려 하나니 [21] 이는 내게 사는 것이 그리스도니 죽는 것도 유익함이니라

(빌 1:18-21, NKJV) [18] What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is preached; and in this I rejoice, yes, and will rejoice. [19] For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, [20] according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. [21] For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

 

(7) 달려가노라 빌 3

(빌 3:11-13, 개역) [11] 어찌하든지 죽은 자 가운데서 부활에 이르려 하노니 [12] 내가 이미 얻었다 함도 아니요 온전히 이루었다 함도 아니라 오직 내가 그리스도 예수께 잡힌 바 된 그것을 잡으려고 좇아가노라 [13] 형제들아 나는 아직 내가 잡은 줄로 여기지 아니하고 오직 한 일 즉 뒤에 있는 것은 잊어버리고 앞에 있는 것을 잡으려고

(빌 3:11-13, NKJV) [11] if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. [12] Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. [13] Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,

 

(8) 고전 10.31

(고전 10:31, 개역) 그런즉 너희가 먹든지 마시든지 무엇을 하든지 다 하나님의 영광을 위하여 하라

(1Co 10:31, NKJV) Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

 

(9) 바울의 고백 딤후 4

(딤후 4:6-8, 개역) [6] 관제와 같이 벌써 내가 부음이 되고 나의 떠날 기약이 가까웠도다 [7] 내가 선한 싸움을 싸우고 나의 달려갈 길을 마치고 믿음을 지켰으니 [8] 이제 후로는 나를 위하여 의의 면류관이 예비되었으므로 주 곧 의로우신 재판장이 그 날에 내게 주실 것이니 내게만 아니라 주의 나타나심을 사모하는 모든 자에게니라

(딤후 4:6-8, NKJV) [6] For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. [7] I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. [8] Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.

 

(10) 천국 문에 이르도록 충성을 다하자.

(계 2:10, 개역) 네가 장차 받을 고난을 두려워 말라 볼지어다 마귀가 장차 너희 가운데서 몇 사람을 옥에 던져 시험을 받게 하리니 너희가 십 일 동안 환난을 받으리라 네가 죽도록 충성하라 그리하면 내가 생명의 면류관을 네게 주리라

(Rv 2:10, NKJV) "Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

 

(계 20:4, 개역) 또 내가 보좌들을 보니 거기 앉은 자들이 있어 심판하는 권세를 받았더라 또 내가 보니 예수의 증거와 하나님의 말씀을 인하여 목 베임을 받은 자의 영혼들과 또 짐승과 그의 우상에게 경배하지도 아니하고 이마와 손에 그의 표를 받지도 아니한 자들이 살아서 그리스도로 더불어 천 년 동안 왕 노릇 하니

(Rv 20:4, NKJV) And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

 

(계 14:9-12, 개역) [9] 또 다른 천사 곧 셋째가 그 뒤를 따라 큰 음성으로 가로되 만일 누구든지 짐승과 그의 우상에게 경배하고 이마에나 손에 표를 받으면 [10] 그도 하나님의 진노의 포도주를 마시리니 그 진노의 잔에 섞인 것이 없이 부은 포도주라 거룩한 천사들 앞과 어린 양 앞에서 불과 유황으로 고난을 받으리니 [11] 그 고난의 연기가 세세토록 올라가리로다 짐승과 그의 우상에게 경배하고 그 이름의 표를 받는 자는 누구든지 밤낮 쉼을 얻지 못하리라 하더라 [12] 성도들의 인내가 여기 있나니 저희는 하나님의 계명과 예수 믿음을 지키는 자니라

(계 14:9-12, NKJV) [9] Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, "If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, [10] "he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. [11] "And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name." [12] Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

 

사랑하는 성도 여러분,

에베소에서 무슨 일이 일어난 것 입니까?

아데미 우상으로 인하여 소동과 핍박이 일어났습니다.

우상으로 가득한 세상은 지금도 우상이 가득한 세상에 사는 우리들입니다.

우상을 멀리하고 거룩함 삶을 살며 핍박을 두려워하지 말아야 합니다.

바울은 제자들을 격려하였습니다.

우리는 서로 격려하며 사명을 위하여 서로 협력하여야 합니다.

바울은 드로아에서 안식후 첫날에 모였습니다.

주님의 부활을 기념하는 것입니다.

우리는 율법시대가 아니라 은혜시대에 살고 있습니다.

말씀을 강론하였습니다.

우리는 자신의 체험이나 느낌에 흔들리지말고 하나님의 말씀을 믿는 믿음에 굳게 서야 합니다.

유두고가 3층에서 떨어져 죽었지만 바울의 기도로 살아났습니다.

죽음자도 살리시는 하나님이십니다.

주님을 살아계셔서 우리와 함께 하시고 약속하신 대로 그 따르는 표적으로 그 하신 말씀을 이루어 주심으로 약속을 확증하십니다.

바울은 혼자 걸으면서 주님과의 시간을 가졌습니다.

사명자들은 계속되는 영적 충전이 필요합니다.

주님과의 친밀함이 필요합니다.

바울은 오순절 안에 예루살렘에 도착하기를 원하였습니다.

헌금을 전달하는 사명을 완수하기 위함이요 많은 사람들이 모여있을 때 전도의 기회를 얻기 위함입니다.

복음을 위한 사도바울의 열정은 아무도 막을수가 없습니다.

주님께서 우리 모두에게도 전도와 선교 영혼구원의 열정을 부어주셔서 주님 다시 오실 때 까지 충성을 다해야 하겠습니다.

 

오늘도, 주님과의 친밀함을 회복하여 복음의 능력, 부활의 능력을 받아서 열정으로 복음 끝까지 복음을 전하는 복된 우리 모두가 될수 있기를 우리주 예수그리스도의 이름으로 간절히 축원합니다. 아멘!
