<첫 번째 순교자 스데반>

(행 7:51-60, 개역) [51] 목이 곧고 마음과 귀에 할례를 받지 못한 사람들아 너희가 항상 성령을 거스려 너희 조상과 같이 너희도 하는도다 [52] 너희 조상들은 선지자 중에 누구를 핍박지 아니하였느냐 의인이 오시리라 예고한 자들을 저희가 죽였고 이제 너희는 그 의인을 잡아준 자요 살인한 자가 되나니 [53] 너희가 천사의 전한 율법을 받고도 지키지 아니하였도다 하니라 [54] 저희가 이 말을 듣고 마음에 찔려 저를 향하여 이를 갈거늘 [55] 스데반이 성령이 충만하여 하늘을 우러러 주목하여 하나님의 영광과 및 예수께서 하나님 우편에 서신 것을 보고 [56] 말하되 보라 하늘이 열리고 인자가 하나님 우편에 서신 것을 보노라 한대 [57] 저희가 큰 소리를 지르며 귀를 막고 일심으로 그에게 달려들어 [58] 성 밖에 내치고 돌로 칠새 증인들이 옷을 벗어 사울이라 하는 청년의 발 앞에 두니라 [59] 저희가 돌로 스데반을 치니 스데반이 부르짖어 가로되 주 예수여 내 영혼을 받으시옵소서 하고 [60] 무릎을 꿇고 크게 불러 가로되 주여 이 죄를 저들에게 돌리지 마옵소서 이 말을 하고 자니라

(행 7:51-60, NKJV) [51] "You stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you. [52] "Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? And they killed those who foretold the coming of the Just One, of whom you now have become the betrayers and murderers, [53] "who have received the law by the direction of angels and have not kept it." [54] When they heard these things they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed at him with their teeth. [55] But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, [56] and said, "Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!" [57] Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord; [58] and they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul. [59] And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit." [60] Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, "Lord, do not charge them with this sin." And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

 

6장에서는 스데반 집사가 공회앞에 가서도 얼굴이 천사와 같다는 말로 끝났습니다.

7장은 스데반이 자신에 대한 비방고소에 대하여 반론하는 장면이 나옵니다.

스데반은 이스라엘의 역사를 열거하면서 아브라함을 이방신을 섬기는 나라에서 택하시고 믿음으로 의롭다함을 받는 은혜를 주시며 모세에게 율법을 주시고 선지자들을 보내셔서 말씀하시고 인도하신 하나님의 은혜를 말씀합니다. 그러나 그 이스라엘은 그 역사를 통하여 하나님의 언약을 어겼으며 우상을 섬겼으며 하나님이 보내신 선지자들을 핍박하였고 나가서 하나님이 모세를 통하여 그리고 선지자들을 통하여 메시야를 보내신다고 하셨는데 정작 그 오신 메시야 예수님 의로운 자를 거역하고 죽였다고 하였습니다. 이것은 성령을 거역하는 일이라고 책망하였습니다. 그리고 나가서 예루살렘 성전을 너무 신성시하고 있는데 하나님은 성전에 계신것만 아니라 우주에 충만하신 분이시다라고 하였습니다.

그러나 이런 책망을 받은 당국자들은 회개하기는 커녕 분노가 충천하여 스데반을 돌로 쳐서 죽이는 악을 행하였습니다. 스데반은 영의 눈이 열려서 주님의 하나님의 우편에 서 계신것을 본다고 외쳤습니다. 스데반은 저들을 용서하라고 하면서 숨을 거두었습니다. 이때 돌로치는 자들을 선동하고 그들의 옷을 맡아준 사람은 바로 나중에 바울이 된 사울이었습니다.

참으로 놀라운 순교 사건입니다. 초대교회의 첫 순교자입니다. 죽임을 당하는 스데반을 응원하고 그 영혼을 영접하시기 위하여 주님은 친히 서 계셨습니다.

주님은 이 모든 일을 보고 계셨습니다. 주님의 사랑은 강하였고 주님을 향한 스데반의 사랑과 충성도 끊을수가 없습니다.

오늘도 이 놀라운 순교사건을 통하여 주님을 더욱 사랑하고 끝까지 충성을 다하는 우리 모두가 될수 있기를 축원합니다.

 

1. 스데반의 설교

(1) 은혜를 베푸신 하나님

(대하 36:15, 개역) 그 열조의 하나님 여호와께서 그 백성과 그 거하시는 곳을 아끼사 부지런히 그 사자들을 그 백성에게 보내어 이르셨으나

(2Ch 36:15, NKJV) And the LORD God of their fathers sent warnings to them by His messengers, rising up early and sending them, because He had compassion on His people and on His dwelling place.

 

(마 23:37, 개역) 예루살렘아 예루살렘아 선지자들을 죽이고 네게 파송된 자들을 돌로 치는 자여 암탉이 그 새끼를 날개 아래 모음 같이 내가 네 자녀를 모으려 한 일이 몇 번이냐 그러나 너희가 원치 아니 하였도다

(Mt 23:37, NKJV) "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!

 

(2) 반역한 조상들

(민 13:30-14:3, 개역) [30] 갈렙이 모세 앞에서 백성을 안돈시켜 가로되 우리가 곧 올라가서 그 땅을 취하자 능히 이기리라 하나 [31] 그와 함께 올라갔던 사람들은 가로되 우리는 능히 올라가서 그 백성을 치지 못하리라 그들은 우리보다 강하니라 하고 [32] 이스라엘 자손 앞에서 그 탐지한 땅을 악평하여 가로되 우리가 두루 다니며 탐지한 땅은 그 거민을 삼키는 땅이요 거기서 본 모든 백성은 신장이 장대한 자들이며 [33] 거기서 또 네피림 후손 아낙 자손 대장부들을 보았나니 우리는 스스로 보기에도 메뚜기 같으니 그들의 보기에도 그와 같았을 것이니라 [14:1] 온 회중이 소리를 높여 부르짖으며 밤새도록 백성이 곡하였더라 [2] 이스라엘 자손이 다 모세와 아론을 원망하며 온 회중이 그들에게 이르되 우리가 애굽 땅에서 죽었거나 이 광야에서 죽었더면 좋았을 것을 [3] 어찌하여 여호와가 우리를 그 땅으로 인도하여 칼에 망하게 하려 하는고 우리 처자가 사로잡히리니 애굽으로 돌아가는 것이 낫지 아니하랴

(민 13:30-14:3, NKJV) [30] Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, "Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it." [31] But the men who had gone up with him said, "We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we." [32] And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, "The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature. [33] "There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight." [1] So all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and the people wept that night. [2] And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, "If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness! [3] "Why has the LORD brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?"

 

(3) 우상을 섬긴 조상들

(왕하 21:1-6, 개역) [1] 므낫세가 위에 나아갈 때에 나이 십이 세라 예루살렘에서 오십오 년을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 헵시바더라 [2] 므낫세가 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하여 여호와께서 이스라엘 자손 앞에서 쫓아내신 이방 사람의 가증한 일을 본받아서 [3] 그 부친 히스기야의 헐어버린 산당을 다시 세우며 이스라엘 왕 아합의 소위를 본받아 바알을 위하여 단을 쌓으며 아세라 목상을 만들며 하늘의 일월성신을 숭배하여 섬기며 [4] 여호와께서 전에 이르시기를 내가 내 이름을 예루살렘에 두리라 하신 여호와의 전의 단들을 쌓고 [5] 또 여호와의 전 두 마당에 하늘의 일월성신을 위하여 단들을 쌓고 [6] 또 그 아들을 불 가운데로 지나게 하며 점치며 사술을 행하며 신접한 자와 박수를 신임하여 여호와 보시기에 악을 많이 행하여 그 진노를 격발하였으며

(왕하 21:1-6, NKJV) [1] Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Hephzibah. [2] And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, according to the abominations of the nations whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel. [3] For he rebuilt the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; he raised up altars for Baal, and made a wooden image, as Ahab king of Israel had done; and he worshiped all the host of heaven and served them. [4] He also built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD had said, "In Jerusalem I will put My name." [5] And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD. [6] Also he made his son pass through the fire, practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft, and consulted spiritists and mediums. He did much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him to anger.

 

(4) 성전은 하나님의 발등상.

(왕상 8:27-30, 개역) [27] 하나님이 참으로 땅에 거하시리이까 하늘과 하늘들의 하늘이라도 주를 용납지 못하겠거든 하물며 내가 건축한 이 전이오리이까 [28] 그러나 나의 하나님 여호와여 종의 기도와 간구를 돌아보시며 종이 오늘날 주의 앞에서 부르짖음과 비는 기도를 들으시옵소서 [29] 주께서 전에 말씀하시기를 내 이름이 거기 있으리라 하신 곳 이 전을 향하여 주의 눈이 주야로 보옵시며 종이 이곳을 향하여 비는 기도를 들으시옵소서 [30] 종과 주의 백성 이스라엘이 이곳을 향하여 기도할 때에 주는 그 간구함을 들으시되 주의 계신 곳 하늘에서 들으시고 들으시사 사하여 주옵소서

(왕상 8:27-30, NKJV) [27] "But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You. How much less this temple which I have built! [28] "Yet regard the prayer of Your servant and his supplication, O LORD my God, and listen to the cry and the prayer which Your servant is praying before You today： [29] "that Your eyes may be open toward this temple night and day, toward the place of which You said, 'My name shall be there,' that You may hear the prayer which Your servant makes toward this place. [30] "And may You hear the supplication of Your servant and of Your people Israel, when they pray toward this place. Hear in heaven Your dwelling place; and when You hear, forgive.

 

(5) 언약을 지키신 하나님.

(수 21:43-45, 개역) [43] 여호와께서 이스라엘의 열조에게 맹세하사 주마 하신 온 땅을 이와 같이 이스라엘에게 다 주셨으므로 그들이 그것을 얻어 거기 거하였으며 [44] 여호와께서 그들의 사방에 안식을 주셨으되 그 열조에게 맹세하신 대로 하셨으므로 그 모든 대적이 그들을 당한 자가 하나도 없었으니 이는 여호와께서 그들의 모든 대적을 그들의 손에 붙이셨음이라 [45] 여호와께서 이스라엘 족속에게 말씀하신 선한 일이 하나도 남음이 없이 다 응하였더라

(수 21:43-45, NKJV) [43] So the LORD gave to Israel all the land of which He had sworn to give to their fathers, and they took possession of it and dwelt in it. [44] The LORD gave them rest all around, according to all that He had sworn to their fathers. And not a man of all their enemies stood against them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand. [45] Not a word failed of any good thing which the LORD had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.

 

(6) 목이 곧은 백성

(출 32:9, 개역) 여호와께서 또 모세에게 이르시되 내가 이 백성을 보니 목이 곧은 백성이로다

(Ex 32:9, NKJV) And the LORD said to Moses, "I have seen this people, and indeed it is a stiff-necked people!

 

(레 26:41, 개역) 나도 그들을 대항하여 그 대적의 땅으로 끌어 갔음을 깨닫고 그 할례받지 아니한 마음이 낮아져서 그 죄악의 형벌을 순히 받으면

(Lv 26:41, NKJV) and that I also have walked contrary to them and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if their uncircumcised hearts are humbled, and they accept their guilt--

 

(왕하 17:14, 개역) 저희가 듣지 아니하고 그 목을 굳게 하기를 그 하나님 여호와를 믿지 아니하던 저희 열조의 목 같이 하여

(2Kg 17:14, NKJV) Nevertheless they would not hear, but stiffened their necks, like the necks of their fathers, who did not believe in the LORD their God.

 

(마 23:31, 개역) 그러면 너희가 선지자를 죽인 자의 자손됨을 스스로 증거함이로다

(Mt 23:31, NKJV) "Therefore you are witnesses against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets.

 

(시 78:8, 개역) 그 열조 곧 완고하고 패역하여 그 마음이 정직하지 못하며 그 심령은 하나님께 충성치 아니한 세대와 같지 않게 하려 하심이로다

(Ps 78:8, NKJV) And may not be like their fathers, A stubborn and rebellious generation, A generation that did not set its heart aright, And whose spirit was not faithful to God.

 

(빌 3:3, 개역) 하나님의 성령으로 봉사하며 그리스도 예수로 자랑하고 육체를 신뢰하지 아니하는 우리가 곧 할례당이라

(Php 3:3, NKJV) For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh,

 

(골 2:11, 개역) 또 그 안에서 너희가 손으로 하지 아니한 할례를 받았으니 곧 육적 몸을 벗는 것이요 그리스도의 할례니라

(Col 2:11, NKJV) In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ,

 

(7) 너희도 조상들 처럼 성령을 거스리고 있다.

(행 7:51, 개역) 목이 곧고 마음과 귀에 할례를 받지 못한 사람들아 너희가 항상 성령을 거스려 너희 조상과 같이 너희도 하는도다

(Ac 7:51, NKJV) "You stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you.

 

(8) 메시야를 예언한 선지자들을 핍박하였다.

(왕상 19:10-14, 개역) [10] 저가 대답하되 내가 만군의 하나님 여호와를 위하여 열심이 특심하오니 이는 이스라엘 자손이 주의 언약을 버리고 주의 단을 헐며 칼로 주의 선지자들을 죽였음이오며 오직 나만 남았거늘 저희가 내 생명을 찾아 취하려 하나이다 [11] 여호와께서 가라사대 너는 나가서 여호와의 앞에서 산에 섰으라 하시더니 여호와께서 지나가시는데 여호와의 앞에 크고 강한 바람이 산을 가르고 바위를 부수나 바람 가운데 여호와께서 계시지 아니하며 바람 후에 지진이 있으나 지진 가운데도 여호와께서 계시지 아니하며 [12] 또 지진 후에 불이 있으나 불 가운데도 여호와께서 계시지 아니하더니 불 후에 세미한 소리가 있는지라 [13] 엘리야가 듣고 겉옷으로 얼굴을 가리우고 나가 굴 어귀에 서매 소리가 있어 저에게 임하여 가라사대 엘리야야 네가 어찌하여 여기 있느냐 [14] 저가 대답하되 내가 만군의 하나님 여호와를 위하여 열심이 특심하오니 이는 이스라엘 자손이 주의 언약을 버리고 주의 단을 헐며 칼로 주의 선지자들을 죽였음이오며 오직 나만 남았거늘 저희가 내 생명을 찾아 취하려 하나이다

(왕상 19:10-14, NKJV) [10] So he said, "I have been very zealous for the LORD God of hosts; for the children of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. I alone am left; and they seek to take my life." [11] Then He said, "Go out, and stand on the mountain before the LORD." And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake; [12] and after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice. [13] So it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him, and said, "What are you doing here, Elijah?" [14] And he said, "I have been very zealous for the LORD God of hosts; because the children of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. I alone am left; and they seek to take my life."

 

(대하 24:19-22, 개역) [19] 그러나 여호와께서 선지자를 저에게 보내사 다시 자기에게로 돌아오게 하려 하시매 선지자들이 저에게 경계하나 듣지 아니하니라 [20] 이에 하나님의 신이 제사장 여호야다의 아들 스가랴를 감동시키시매 저가 백성 앞에 높이 서서 저희에게 이르되 여호와께서 말씀하시기를 너희가 어찌하여 여호와의 명령을 거역하여 스스로 형통치 못하게 하느냐 하셨나니 너희가 여호와를 버린고로 여호와께서도 너희를 버리셨느니라 하나 [21] 무리가 함께 꾀하고 왕의 명을 좇아 여호와의 전 뜰 안에서 돌로 쳐 죽였더라 [22] 요아스 왕이 이와 같이 스가랴의 아비 여호야다의 베푼 은혜를 생각지 아니하고 그 아들을 죽이니 저가 죽을 때에 이르되 여호와는 감찰하시고 신원하여 주옵소서 하니라

(대하 24:19-22, NKJV) [19] Yet He sent prophets to them, to bring them back to the LORD; and they testified against them, but they would not listen. [20] Then the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, who stood above the people, and said to them, "Thus says God： 'Why do you transgress the commandments of the LORD, so that you cannot prosper? Because you have forsaken the LORD, He also has forsaken you.'" [21] So they conspired against him, and at the command of the king they stoned him with stones in the court of the house of the LORD. [22] Thus Joash the king did not remember the kindness which Jehoiada his father had done to him, but killed his son; and as he died, he said, "The LORD look on it, and repay!"

 

(대하 36:16, 개역) 그 백성이 하나님의 사자를 비웃고 말씀을 멸시하며 그 선지자를 욕하여 여호와의 진노로 그 백성에게 미쳐서 만회할 수 없게 하였으므로

(2Ch 36:16, NKJV) But they mocked the messengers of God, despised His words, and scoffed at His prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against His people, till there was no remedy.

 

(느 9:26, 개역) 저희가 오히려 순종치 아니하고 주를 거역하며 주의 율법을 등 뒤에 두고 주께로 돌아오기를 권면하는 선지자들을 죽여 크게 설만하게 행하였나이다

(Neh 9:26, NKJV) "Nevertheless they were disobedient And rebelled against You, Cast Your law behind their backs And killed Your prophets, who testified against them To turn them to Yourself; And they worked great provocations.

 

(렘 20:1-2, 개역) [1] 제사장 임멜의 아들 바스훌은 여호와의 집 유사장이라 그가 예레미야의 이 일 예언함을 들은지라 [2] 이에 바스훌이 선지자 예레미야를 때리고 여호와의 집 베냐민의 윗문에 있는 착고에 채웠더니

(렘 20:1-2, NKJV) [1] Now Pashhur the son of Immer, the priest who was also chief governor in the house of the LORD, heard that Jeremiah prophesied these things. [2] Then Pashhur struck Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the high gate of Benjamin, which was by the house of the LORD.

 

(9) 선지자들이 예언한 그 메시야를 너희가 죽였다

(행 3:14, 개역) 너희가 거룩하고 의로운 자를 부인하고 도리어 살인한 사람을 놓아주기를 구하여

(Ac 3:14, NKJV) "But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you,

 

(살전 2:15, 개역) 유대인은 주 예수와 선지자들을 죽이고 우리를 쫓아내고 하나님을 기쁘시게 아니하고 모든 사람에게 대적이 되어

(1Th 2:15, NKJV) who killed both the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they do not please God and are contrary to all men,

 

(마 21:35-41, 개역) [35] 농부들이 종들을 잡아 하나는 심히 때리고 하나는 죽이고 하나는 돌로 쳤거늘 [36] 다시 다른 종들을 처음보다 많이 보내니 저희에게도 그렇게 하였는지라 [37] 후에 자기 아들을 보내며 가로되 저희가 내 아들은 공경하리라 하였더니 [38] 농부들이 그 아들을 보고 서로 말하되 이는 상속자니 자 죽이고 그의 유업을 차지하자 하고 [39] 이에 잡아 포도원 밖에 내어쫓아 죽였느니라 [40] 그러면 포도원 주인이 올 때에 이 농부들을 어떻게 하겠느뇨 [41] 저희가 말하되 이 악한 자들을 진멸하고 포도원은 제 때에 실과를 바칠만한 다른 농부들에게 세로 줄지니이다

(마 21:35-41, NKJV) [35] "And the vinedressers took his servants, beat one, killed one, and stoned another. [36] "Again he sent other servants, more than the first, and they did likewise to them. [37] "Then last of all he sent his son to them, saying, 'They will respect my son.' [38] "But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves, 'This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.' [39] "So they took him and cast him out of the vineyard and killed him. [40] "Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vinedressers?" [41] They said to Him, "He will destroy those wicked men miserably, and lease his vineyard to other vinedressers who will render to him the fruits in their seasons."

 

2. 이를 가는 공회원 들

(1) 자신의 죄를 깨닫지 못한 다윗

(삼하 12:7-14, 개역) [7] 나단이 다윗에게 이르되 당신이 그 사람이라 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서 이처럼 이르시기를 내가 너로 이스라엘 왕을 삼기 위하여 네게 기름을 붓고 너를 사울의 손에서 구원하고 [8] 네 주인의 집을 네게 주고 네 주인의 처들을 네 품에 두고 이스라엘과 유다 족속을 네게 맡겼느니라 만일 그것이 부족하였을 것 같으면 내가 네게 이것 저것을 더 주었으리라 [9] 그러한데 어찌하여 네가 여호와의 말씀을 업신여기고 나 보기에 악을 행하였느뇨 네가 칼로 헷 사람 우리아를 죽이되 암몬 자손의 칼로 죽이고 그 처를 빼앗아 네 처를 삼았도다 [10] 이제 네가 나를 업신여기고 헷 사람 우리아의 처를 빼앗아 네 처를 삼았은즉 칼이 네 집에 영영히 떠나지 아니하리라 하셨고 [11] 여호와께서 또 이처럼 이르시기를 내가 네 집에 재화를 일으키고 내가 네 처들을 가져 네 눈 앞에서 다른 사람에게 주리니 그 사람이 네 처들로 더불어 백주에 동침하리라 [12] 너는 은밀히 행하였으나 나는 이스라엘 무리 앞 백주에 이 일을 행하리라 하셨나이다 [13] 다윗이 나단에게 이르되 내가 여호와께 죄를 범하였노라 하매 나단이 다윗에게 대답하되 여호와께서도 당신의 죄를 사하셨나니 당신이 죽지 아니하려니와 [14] 이 일로 인하여 여호와의 원수로 크게 훼방할 거리를 얻게 하였으니 당신의 낳은 아이가 정녕 죽으리이다 하고

(삼하 12:7-14, NKJV) [7] Then Nathan said to David, "You are the man! Thus says the LORD God of Israel： 'I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul. [8] 'I gave you your master's house and your master's wives into your keeping, and gave you the house of Israel and Judah. And if that had been too little, I also would have given you much more! [9] 'Why have you despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in His sight? You have killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword; you have taken his wife to be your wife, and have killed him with the sword of the people of Ammon. [10] 'Now therefore, the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised Me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.' [11] "Thus says the LORD： 'Behold, I will raise up adversity against you from your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun. [12] 'For you did it secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel, before the sun.'" [13] So David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against the LORD." And Nathan said to David, "The LORD also has put away your sin; you shall not die. [14] "However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also who is born to you shall surely die."

 

(2) 분노는 살인죄

(마 5:21-22, 개역) [21] 옛 사람에게 말한 바 살인치 말라 누구든지 살인하면 심판을 받게 되리라 하였다는 것을 너희가 들었으나 [22] 나는 너희에게 이르노니 형제에게 노하는 자마다 심판을 받게 되고 형제를 대하여 라가라 하는 자는 공회에 잡히게 되고 미련한 놈이라 하는 자는 지옥 불에 들어가게 되리라

(마 5:21-22, NKJV) [21] "You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.' [22] "But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, 'Raca!' shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of hell fire.

 

(3) 이사야

(히 11:32-40, 개역) [32] 내가 무슨 말을 더 하리요 기드온, 바락, 삼손, 입다와 다윗과 사무엘과 및 선지자들의 일을 말하려면 내게 시간이 부족하리로다 [33] 저희가 믿음으로 나라들을 이기기도 하며 의를 행하기도 하며 약속을 받기도 하며 사자들의 입을 막기도 하며 [34] 불의 세력을 멸하기도 하며 칼날을 피하기도 하며 연약한 가운데서 강하게 되기도 하며 전쟁에 용맹되어 이방 사람들의 진을 물리치기도 하며 [35] 여자들은 자기의 죽은 자를 부활로 받기도 하며 또 어떤 이들은 더 좋은 부활을 얻고자 하여 악형을 받되 구차히 면하지 아니하였으며 [36] 또 어떤 이들은 희롱과 채찍질뿐 아니라 결박과 옥에 갇히는 시험도 받았으며 [37] 돌로 치는 것과 톱으로 켜는 것과 시험과 칼에 죽는 것을 당하고 양과 염소의 가죽을 입고 유리하여 궁핍과 환난과 학대를 받았으니 [38] (이런 사람은 세상이 감당치 못하도다) 저희가 광야와 산중과 암혈과 토굴에 유리하였느니라 [39] 이 사람들이 다 믿음으로 말미암아 증거를 받았으나 약속을 받지 못하였으니 [40] 이는 하나님이 우리를 위하여 더 좋은 것을 예비하셨은즉 우리가 아니면 저희로 온전함을 이루지 못하게 하려 하심이니라

(히 11:32-40, NKJV) [32] And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets： [33] who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, [34] quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. [35] Women received their dead raised to life again. And others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection. [36] Still others had trial of mockings and scourgings, yes, and of chains and imprisonment. [37] They were stoned, they were sawn in two, were tempted, were slain with the sword. They wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented-- [38] of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts and mountains, in dens and caves of the earth. [39] And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise, [40] God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us.

 

(4) 예레미야

(렘 32:1-5, 개역) [1] 유다 왕 시드기야의 제십년 곧 느부갓네살의 제십팔년에 여호와의 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하니라 [2] 때에 바벨론 군대는 예루살렘을 에워싸고 선지자 예레미야는 유다 왕의 궁중에 있는 시위대 뜰에 갇혔으니 [3] 이는 그가 예언하기를 여호와의 말씀에 보라 내가 이 성을 바벨론 왕의 손에 붙이리니 그가 취할 것이며 유다 왕 시드기야는 갈대아 인의 손에서 벗어나지 못하고 반드시 바벨론 왕의 손에 붙이운 바 되리니 입이 입을 대하여 말하고 눈이 서로 볼 것이며 [4] 그가 시드기야를 바벨론으로 끌어가리니 시드기야가 나의 권고할 때까지 거기 있으리라 나 여호와가 말하노라 [5] 너희가 갈대아 인과 싸울지라도 승리치 못하리라 하셨다 하였더니 유다 왕 시드기야가 가로되 네가 어찌 이같이 예언하였느뇨 하고 그를 가두었음이었더라

(렘 32:1-5, NKJV) [1] The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar. [2] For then the king of Babylon's army besieged Jerusalem, and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the king of Judah's house. [3] For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, "Why do you prophesy and say, 'Thus says the LORD： "Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it; [4] "and Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape from the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him face to face, and see him eye to eye; [5] "then he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there he shall be until I visit him," says the LORD; "though you fight with the Chaldeans, you shall not succeed"'?"

 

(5) 세례요한의 설교를 듣고 회개함

(눅 3:7-14, 개역) [7] 요한이 침례 받으러 나오는 무리에게 이르되 독사의 자식들아 누가 너희를 가르쳐 장차 올 진노를 피하라 하더냐 [8] 그러므로 회개에 합당한 열매를 맺고 속으로 아브라함이 우리 조상이라 말하지 말라 내가 너희에게 이르노니 하나님이 능히 이 돌들로도 아브라함의 자손이 되게 하시리라 [9] 이미 도끼가 나무 뿌리에 놓였으니 좋은 열매 맺지 아니하는 나무마다 찍혀 불에 던지우리라 [10] 무리가 물어 가로되 그러하면 우리가 무엇을 하리이까 [11] 대답하여 가로되 옷 두 벌 있는 자는 옷 없는 자에게 나눠 줄 것이요 먹을 것이 있는 자도 그렇게 할 것이니라 하고 [12] 세리들도 침례를 받고자 하여 와서 가로되 선생이여 우리는 무엇을 하리이까 하매 [13] 가로되 정한 세 외에는 늑징치 말라 하고 [14] 군병들도 물어 가로되 우리는 무엇을 하리이까 하매 가로되 사람에게 강포하지 말며 무소하지 말고 받는 요를 족한 줄로 알라 하니라

(눅 3:7-14, NKJV) [7] Then he said to the multitudes that came out to be baptized by him, "Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? [8] "Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. [9] "And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire." [10] So the people asked him, saying, "What shall we do then?" [11] He answered and said to them, "He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise." [12] Then tax collectors also came to be baptized, and said to him, "Teacher, what shall we do?" [13] And he said to them, "Collect no more than what is appointed for you." [14] Likewise the soldiers asked him, saying, "And what shall we do?" So he said to them, "Do not intimidate anyone or accuse falsely, and be content with your wages."

 

(6) 베드로의 설교를 듣고 회개함

(행 2:34-41, 개역) [34] 다윗은 하늘에 올라가지 못하였으나 친히 말하여 가로되 주께서 내 주에게 말씀하시기를 [35] 내가 네 원수로 네 발등상 되게 하기까지 너는 내 우편에 앉았으라 하셨도다 하였으니 [36] 그런즉 이스라엘 온 집이 정녕 알지니 너희가 십자가에 못 박은 이 예수를 하나님이 주와 그리스도가 되게 하셨느니라 하니라 [37] 저희가 이 말을 듣고 마음에 찔려 베드로와 다른 사도들에게 물어 가로되 형제들아 우리가 어찌할꼬 하거늘 [38] 베드로가 가로되 너희가 회개하여 각각 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 침례를 받고 죄 사함을 얻으라 그리하면 성령을 선물로 받으리니 [39] 이 약속은 너희와 너희 자녀와 모든 먼 데 사람 곧 주 우리 하나님이 얼마든지 부르시는 자들에게 하신 것이라 하고 [40] 또 여러 말로 확증하며 권하여 가로되 너희가 이 패역한 세대에서 구원을 받으라 하니 [41] 그 말을 받는 사람들은 침례를 받으매 이 날에 제자의 수가 삼천이나 더하더라

(행 2:34-41, NKJV) [34] "For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself： 'The LORD said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand, [35] Till I make Your enemies Your footstool."' [36] "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ." [37] Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?" [38] Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. [39] "For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call." [40] And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, "Be saved from this perverse generation." [41] Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.

 

(7) 바깥 어두운 곳에서 이를 갈게 될것

(마 8:11-12, 개역) [11] 또 너희에게 이르노니 동서로부터 많은 사람이 이르러 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱과 함께 천국에 앉으려니와 [12] 나라의 본 자손들은 바깥 어두운 데 쫓겨나 거기서 울며 이를 갊이 있으리라

(마 8:11-12, NKJV) [11] "And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. [12] "But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

 

(행 5:33, 개역) 저희가 듣고 크게 노하여 사도들을 없이하고자 할새

(Ac 5:33, NKJV) When they heard this, they were furious and plotted to kill them.

 

(행 22:22-23, 개역) [22] 이 말 하는 것까지 저희가 듣다가 소리질러 가로되 이러한 놈은 세상에서 없이 하자 살려둘 자가 아니라 하여 [23] 떠들며 옷을 벗어 던지고 티끌을 공중에 날리니

(행 22:22-23, NKJV) [22] And they listened to him until this word, and then they raised their voices and said, "Away with such a fellow from the earth, for he is not fit to live!" [23] Then, as they cried out and tore off their clothes and threw dust into the air,

 

ꠑ(마 13:42, 개역) 풀무불에 던져 넣으리니 거기서 울며 이를 갊이 있으리라

(Mt 13:42, NKJV) "and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

 

(마 22:13, 개역) 임금이 사환들에게 말하되 그 수족을 결박하여 바깥 어두움에 내어 던지라 거기서 슬피 울며 이를 갊이 있으리라 하니라

(Mt 22:13, NKJV) "Then the king said to the servants, 'Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'

 

(마 24:51, 개역) 엄히 때리고 외식하는 자의 받는 율에 처하리니 거기서 슬피 울며 이를 갊이 있으리라

(Mt 24:51, NKJV) "and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

 

(마 25:30, 개역) 이 무익한 종을 바깥 어두운 데로 내어 쫓으라 거기서 슬피 울며 이를 갊이 있으리라 하니라

(Mt 25:30, NKJV) 'And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'

 

(8) 듣고 회개하라

(잠 1:23-33, 개역) [23] 나의 책망을 듣고 돌이키라 보라 내가 나의 신을 너희에게 부어주며 나의 말을 너희에게 보이리라 [24] 내가 부를지라도 너희가 듣기 싫어 하였고 내가 손을 펼지라도 돌아보는 자가 없었고 [25] 도리어 나의 모든 교훈을 멸시하며 나의 책망을 받지 아니하였은즉 [26] 너희가 재앙을 만날 때에 내가 웃을 것이며 너희에게 두려움이 임할 때에 내가 비웃으리라 [27] 너희의 두려움이 광풍 같이 임하겠고 너희의 재앙이 폭풍 같이 이르겠고 너희에게 근심과 슬픔이 임하리니 [28] 그 때에 너희가 나를 부르리라 그래도 내가 대답지 아니하겠고 부지런히 나를 찾으리라 그래도 나를 만나지 못하리니 [29] 대저 너희가 지식을 미워하며 여호와 경외하기를 즐거워하지 아니하며 [30] 나의 교훈을 받지 아니하고 나의 모든 책망을 업신여겼음이라 [31] 그러므로 자기 행위의 열매를 먹으며 자기 꾀에 배부르리라 [32] 어리석은 자의 퇴보는 자기를 죽이며 미련한 자의 안일은 자기를 멸망시키려니와 [33] 오직 나를 듣는 자는 안연히 살며 재앙의 두려움이 없이 평안하리라

(잠 1:23-33, NKJV) [23] Turn at my rebuke; Surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you. [24] Because I have called and you refused, I have stretched out my hand and no one regarded, [25] Because you disdained all my counsel, And would have none of my rebuke, [26] I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your terror comes, [27] When your terror comes like a storm, And your destruction comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you. [28] "Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me. [29] Because they hated knowledge And did not choose the fear of the LORD, [30] They would have none of my counsel And despised my every rebuke. [31] Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way, And be filled to the full with their own fancies. [32] For the turning away of the simple will slay them, And the complacency of fools will destroy them; [33] But whoever listens to me will dwell safely, And will be secure, without fear of evil."

 

(9) 마음을 찢으라

(렘 4:3-4, 개역) [3] 나 여호와가 유다와 예루살렘 사람에게 이같이 이르노라 너희 묵은 땅을 갈고 가시덤불 속에 파종하지 말라 [4] 유다인과 예루살렘 거민들아 너희는 스스로 할례를 행하여 너희 마음 가죽을 베고 나 여호와께 속하라 그렇지 아니하면 너희 행악을 인하여 나의 분노가 불 같이 발하여 사르리니 그것을 끌 자가 없으리라

(렘 4:3-4, NKJV) [3] For thus says the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem： "Break up your fallow ground, And do not sow among thorns. [4] Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, And take away the foreskins of your hearts, You men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, Lest My fury come forth like fire, And burn so that no one can quench it, Because of the evil of your doings."

(욜 2:12-14, NKJV) [12] "Now, therefore," says the LORD, "Turn to Me with all your heart, With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning." [13] So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the LORD your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm. [14] Who knows if He will turn and relent, And leave a blessing behind Him--A grain offering and a drink offering For the LORD your God?

 

3. 하나님 우편에 서 계신 예수님을 본 스데반

(1) 하나님의 영광

(겔 3:23, 개역) 내가 일어나 들로 나아가니 여호와의 영광이 거기 머물렀는데 내가 전에 그발 강 가에서 보던 영광과 같은지라 내가 곧 엎드리니

(Ezk 3:23, NKJV) So I arose and went out into the plain, and behold, the glory of the LORD stood there, like the glory which I saw by the River Chebar; and I fell on my face.

 

(계 1:13-16, 개역) [13] 촛대 사이에 인자 같은 이가 발에 끌리는 옷을 입고 가슴에 금띠를 띠고 [14] 그 머리와 털의 희기가 흰 양털 같고 눈 같으며 그의 눈은 불꽃 같고 [15] 그의 발은 풀무에 단련한 빛난 주석 같고 그의 음성은 많은 물소리와 같으며 [16] 그 오른손에 일곱 별이 있고 그 입에서 좌우에 날선 검이 나오고 그 얼굴은 해가 힘있게 비취는 것 같더라

(계 1:13-16, NKJV) [13] and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. [14] His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; [15] His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; [16] He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.

 

(2) 성령충만

(엡 5:16-18, 개역) [16] 세월을 아끼라 때가 악하니라 [17] 그러므로 어리석은 자가 되지 말고 오직 주의 뜻이 무엇인가 이해하라 [18] 술 취하지 말라 이는 방탕한 것이니 오직 성령의 충만을 받으라

(엡 5:16-18, NKJV) [16] redeeming the time, because the days are evil. [17] Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. [18] And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,

(3) 하늘문이 열림

(말 3:10, 개역) 만군의 여호와가 이르노라 너희의 온전한 십일조를 창고에 들여 나의 집에 양식이 있게 하고 그것으로 나를 시험하여 내가 하늘 문을 열고 너희에게 복을 쌓을 곳이 없도록 붓지 아니하나 보라

(Mal 3:10, NKJV) Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this," Says the LORD of hosts, "If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.

 

(행 7:55-56, 개역) [55] 스데반이 성령이 충만하여 하늘을 우러러 주목하여 하나님의 영광과 및 예수께서 하나님 우편에 서신 것을 보고 [56] 말하되 보라 하늘이 열리고 인자가 하나님 우편에 서신 것을 보노라 한대

[4] Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads. [5] And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

[4] Then I looked, and behold, a whirlwind was coming out of the north, a great cloud with raging fire engulfing itself; and brightness was all around it and radiating out of its midst like the color of amber, out of the midst of the fire. [5] Also from within it came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance： they had the likeness of a man. [6] Each one had four faces, and each one had four wings. [7] Their legs were straight, and the soles of their feet were like the soles of calves' feet. They sparkled like the color of burnished bronze. [8] The hands of a man were under their wings on their four sides; and each of the four had faces and wings.

(사 6:1-7, NKJV) [1] In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. [2] Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings： with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. [3] And one cried to another and said： "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!" [4] And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke. [5] So I said： "Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The LORD of hosts." [6] Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. [7] And he touched my mouth with it, and said： "Behold, this has touched your lips; Your iniquity is taken away, And your sin purged."

 

(8) 하나님 우편에 앉으심

(히 7:25, 개역) 그러므로 자기를 힘입어 하나님께 나아가는 자들을 온전히 구원하실 수 있으니 이는 그가 항상 살아서 저희를 위하여 간구하심이니라

(Heb 7:25, NKJV) Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

(롬 8:32-34, NKJV) [32] He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? [33] Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. [34] Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

(9) 영혼을 영접하시려

(요일 3:1-3, 개역) [1] 보라 아버지께서 어떠한 사랑을 우리에게 주사 하나님의 자녀라 일컬음을 얻게 하셨는고 우리가 그러하도다 그러므로 세상이 우리를 알지 못함은 그를 알지 못함이니라 [2] 사랑하는 자들아 우리가 지금은 하나님의 자녀라 장래에 어떻게 될 것은 아직 나타나지 아니하였으나 그가 나타내심이 되면 우리가 그와 같을 줄을 아는 것은 그의 계신 그대로 볼 것을 인함이니 [3] 주를 향하여 이 소망을 가진 자마다 그의 깨끗하심과 같이 자기를 깨끗하게 하느니라

(요일 3:1-3, NKJV) [1] Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. [2] Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. [3] And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

(10) 보고 계셨음

(요 20:24-29, 개역) [24] 열두 제자 중에 하나인 디두모라 하는 도마는 예수 오셨을 때에 함께 있지 아니한지라 [25] 다른 제자들이 그에게 이르되 우리가 주를 보았노라 하니 도마가 가로되 내가 그 손의 못자국을 보며 내 손가락을 그 못자국에 넣으며 내 손을 그 옆구리에 넣어 보지 않고는 믿지 아니하겠노라 하니라 [26] 여드레를 지나서 제자들이 다시 집 안에 있을 때에 도마도 함께 있고 문들이 닫혔는데 예수께서 오사 가운데 서서 가라사대 너희에게 평강이 있을지어다 하시고 [27] 도마에게 이르시되 네 손가락을 이리 내밀어 내 손을 보고 네 손을 내밀어 내 옆구리에 넣어보라 그리하고 믿음 없는 자가 되지 말고 믿는 자가 되라 [28] 도마가 대답하여 가로되 나의 주시며 나의 하나님이시니이다 [29] 예수께서 가라사대 너는 나를 본 고로 믿느냐 보지 못하고 믿는 자들은 복되도다 하시니라

So he said to them, "Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe." Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

 

(11) 격려하심

(마 28:20, 개역) 내가 너희에게 분부한 모든 것을 가르쳐 지키게 하라 볼지어다 내가 세상 끝날까지 너희와 항상 함께 있으리라 하시니라

(Mt 28:20, NKJV) "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

 

(사 41:10, 개역) 두려워 말라 내가 너와 함께 함이니라 놀라지 말라 나는 네 하나님이 됨이니라 내가 너를 굳세게 하리라 참으로 너를 도와주리라 참으로 나의 의로운 오른손으로 너를 붙들리라

(Is 41:10, NKJV) Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'

 

(요 10:28-30, 개역) [28] 내가 저희에게 영생을 주노니 영원히 멸망치 아니할 터이요 또 저희를 내 손에서 빼앗을 자가 없느니라 [29] 저희를 주신 내 아버지는 만유보다 크시매 아무도 아버지 손에서 빼앗을 수 없느니라 [30] 나와 아버지는 하나이니라 하신대

(12) 확신 주심

(히 13:8, 개역) 예수 그리스도는 어제나 오늘이나 영원토록 동일하시니라

(Heb 13:8, NKJV) Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

 

(빌 3:20-21, 개역) [20] 오직 우리의 시민권은 하늘에 있는지라 거기로서 구원하는 자 곧 주 예수 그리스도를 기다리노니 [21] 그가 만물을 자기에게 복종케 하실 수 있는 자의 역사로 우리의 낮은 몸을 자기 영광의 몸의 형체와 같이 변케 하시리라

(빌 3:20-21, NKJV) [20] For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, [21] who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.

(13) 끊을수 없는 사랑

(롬 8:38-39, 개역) [38] 내가 확신하노니 사망이나 생명이나 천사들이나 권세자들이나 현재 일이나 장래 일이나 능력이나 [39] 높음이나 깊음이나 다른 아무 피조물이라도 우리를 우리 주 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 하나님의 사랑에서 끊을 수 없으리라

(롬 8:38-39, NKJV) [38] For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, [39] nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

 

4. 돌로 쳐 죽임을 당한 스데반

(1) 큰 소리를 지름

(행 19:27-32, 개역) [27] 우리의 이 영업만 천하여질 위험이 있을 뿐 아니라 큰 여신 아데미의 전각도 경홀히 여김이 되고 온 아시아와 천하가 위하는 그의 위엄도 떨어질까 하노라 하더라 [28] 저희가 이 말을 듣고 분이 가득하여 외쳐 가로되 크다 에베소 사람의 아데미여 하니 [29] 온 성이 요란하여 바울과 같이 다니는 마게도냐 사람 가이오와 아리스다고를 잡아가지고 일제히 연극장으로 달려들어 가는지라 [30] 바울이 백성 가운데로 들어가고자 하나 제자들이 말리고 [31] 또 아시아 관원 중에 바울의 친구 된 어떤 이들이 그에게 통지하여 연극장에 들어가지 말라 권하더라 [32] 사람들이 외쳐 혹은 이 말을, 혹은 저 말을 하니 모인 무리가 분란하여 태반이나 어찌하여 모였는지 알지 못하더라

(행 19:27-32, NKJV) [27] "So not only is this trade of ours in danger of falling into disrepute, but also the temple of the great goddess Diana may be despised and her magnificence destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worship." [28] Now when they heard this, they were full of wrath and cried out, saying, "Great is Diana of the Ephesians!" [29] So the whole city was filled with confusion, and rushed into the theater with one accord, having seized Gaius and Aristarchus, Macedonians, Paul's travel companions. [30] And when Paul wanted to go in to the people, the disciples would not allow him. [31] Then some of the officials of Asia, who were his friends, sent to him pleading that he would not venture into the theater. [32] Some therefore cried one thing and some another, for the assembly was confused, and most of them did not know why they had come together.

 

(2) 귀를 막고

(렘 6:10, 개역) 내가 누구에게 말하며 누구에게 경책하여 듣게 할꼬 보라 그 귀가 할례를 받지 못하였으므로 듣지 못하는도다 보라 여호와의 말씀을 그들이 자기에게 욕으로 여기고 이를 즐겨 아니하니

(Jr 6:10, NKJV) To whom shall I speak and give warning, That they may hear? Indeed their ear is uncircumcised, And they cannot give heed. Behold, the word of the LORD is a reproach to them; They have no delight in it.

 

(행 7:51, 개역) 목이 곧고 마음과 귀에 할례를 받지 못한 사람들아 너희가 항상 성령을 거스려 너희 조상과 같이 너희도 하는도다

(Ac 7:51, NKJV) "You stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you.

 

(3) 세례요한

(마 14:6-12, 개역) [6] 마침 헤롯의 생일을 당하여 헤로디아의 딸이 연석 가운데서 춤을 추어 헤롯을 기쁘게 하니 [7] 헤롯이 맹세로 그에게 무엇이든지 달라는대로 주겠다 허락하거늘 [8] 그가 제 어미의 시킴을 듣고 가로되 침례 요한의 머리를 소반에 담아 여기서 내게 주소서 하니 [9] 왕이 근심하나 자기의 맹세한 것과 그 함께 앉은 사람들을 인하여 주라 명하고 [10] 사람을 보내어 요한을 옥에서 목 베어 [11] 그 머리를 소반에 담아다가 그 여아에게 주니 그가 제 어미에게 가져 가니라 [12] 요한의 제자들이 와서 시체를 가져다가 장사하고 가서 예수께 고하니라

(마 14:6-12, NKJV) [6] But when Herod's birthday was celebrated, the daughter of Herodias danced before them and pleased Herod. [7] Therefore he promised with an oath to give her whatever she might ask. [8] So she, having been prompted by her mother, said, "Give me John the Baptist's head here on a platter." [9] And the king was sorry; nevertheless, because of the oaths and because of those who sat with him, he commanded it to be given to her. [10] So he sent and had John beheaded in prison. (3) 선지자들을 죽인 아합

(왕상 19:9-14, 개역) [9] 엘리야가 그곳 굴에 들어가 거기서 유하더니 여호와의 말씀이 저에게 임하여 이르시되 엘리야야 네가 어찌하여 여기 있느냐 [10] 저가 대답하되 내가 만군의 하나님 여호와를 위하여 열심이 특심하오니 이는 이스라엘 자손이 주의 언약을 버리고 주의 단을 헐며 칼로 주의 선지자들을 죽였음이오며 오직 나만 남았거늘 저희가 내 생명을 찾아 취하려 하나이다 [11] 여호와께서 가라사대 너는 나가서 여호와의 앞에서 산에 섰으라 하시더니 여호와께서 지나가시는데 여호와의 앞에 크고 강한 바람이 산을 가르고 바위를 부수나 바람 가운데 여호와께서 계시지 아니하며 바람 후에 지진이 있으나 지진 가운데도 여호와께서 계시지 아니하며 [12] 또 지진 후에 불이 있으나 불 가운데도 여호와께서 계시지 아니하더니 불 후에 세미한 소리가 있는지라 [13] 엘리야가 듣고 겉옷으로 얼굴을 가리우고 나가 굴 어귀에 서매 소리가 있어 저에게 임하여 가라사대 엘리야야 네가 어찌하여 여기 있느냐 [14] 저가 대답하되 내가 만군의 하나님 여호와를 위하여 열심이 특심하오니 이는 이스라엘 자손이 주의 언약을 버리고 주의 단을 헐며 칼로 주의 선지자들을 죽였음이오며 오직 나만 남았거늘 저희가 내 생명을 찾아 취하려 하나이다

I alone am left; and they seek to take my life." [11] Then He said, "Go out, and stand on the mountain before the LORD." And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake; [12] and after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice. [13] So it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him, and said, "What are you doing here, Elijah?" [14] And he said, "I have been very zealous for the LORD God of hosts; because the children of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. I alone am left; and they seek to take my life."

(행 12:1-5, 개역) [1] 그 때에 헤롯 왕이 손을 들어 교회 중 몇 사람을 해하려 하여 [2] 요한의 형제 야고보를 칼로 죽이니 [3] 유대인들이 이 일을 기뻐하는 것을 보고 베드로도 잡으려 할새 때는 무교절일이라 [4] 잡으매 옥에 가두어 군사 넷씩인 네 패에게 맡겨 지키고 유월절 후에 백성 앞에 끌어 내고자 하더라 [5] 이에 베드로는 옥에 갇혔고 교회는 그를 위하여 간절히 하나님께 빌더라

(행 12:1-5, NKJV) [1] Now about that time Herod the king stretched out his hand to harass some from the church. [2] Then he killed James the brother of John with the sword. [3] And because he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to seize Peter also. Now it was during the Days of Unleavened Bread. [4] So when he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four squads of soldiers to keep him, intending to bring him before the people after Passover. [5] Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.

(계 20:1-4, 개역) [1] 또 내가 보매 천사가 무저갱 열쇠와 큰 쇠사슬을 그 손에 가지고 하늘로서 내려와서 [2] 용을 잡으니 곧 옛 뱀이요 마귀요 사단이라 잡아 일천 년 동안 결박하여 [3] 무저갱에 던져 잠그고 그 위에 인봉하여 천 년이 차도록 다시는 만국을 미혹하지 못하게 하였다가 그 후에는 반드시 잠간 놓이리라 [4] 또 내가 보좌들을 보니 거기 앉은 자들이 있어 심판하는 권세를 받았더라 또 내가 보니 예수의 증거와 하나님의 말씀을 인하여 목 베임을 받은 자의 영혼들과 또 짐승과 그의 우상에게 경배하지도 아니하고 이마와 손에 그의 표를 받지도 아니한 자들이 살아서 그리스도로 더불어 천 년 동안 왕 노릇 하니

(계 20:1-4, NKJV) [1] Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. [2] He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; [3] and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while. [4] And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

 

(6) 순교의 역사.

(왕상 18:13, 개역) 이세벨이 여호와의 선지자들을 죽일 때에 내가 여호와의 선지자 중에 일백 인을 오십 인씩 굴에 숨기고 떡과 물로 먹인 일이 내 주께 들리지 아니하였나이까

(1Kg 18:13, NKJV) "Was it not reported to my lord what I did when Jezebel killed the prophets of the LORD, how I hid one hundred men of the LORD'S prophets, fifty to a cave, and fed them with bread and water?

 

(느 9:25-26, 개역) [25] 저희가 견고한 성들과 기름진 땅을 취하고 모든 아름다운 물건을 채운 집과 파서 만든 우물과 포도원과 감람원과 허다한 과목을 차지하여 배불리 먹어 살찌고 주의 큰 복을 즐겼사오나 [26] 저희가 오히려 순종치 아니하고 주를 거역하며 주의 율법을 등 뒤에 두고 주께로 돌아오기를 권면하는 선지자들을 죽여 크게 설만하게 행하였나이다

(느 9:25-26, NKJV) [25] And they took strong cities and a rich land, And possessed houses full of all goods, Cisterns already dug, vineyards, olive groves, And fruit trees in abundance. So they ate and were filled and grew fat, And delighted themselves in Your great goodness. [26] "Nevertheless they were disobedient And rebelled against You, Cast Your law behind their backs And killed Your prophets, who testified against them To turn them to Yourself; And they worked great provocations.

 

(렘 26:11, 개역) 제사장들과 선지자들이 방백들과 모든 백성에게 말하여 가로되 이 사람은 죽음이 합당하니 너희 귀로 들음 같이 이 성을 쳐서 예언하였느니라

(Jr 26:11, NKJV) And the priests and the prophets spoke to the princes and all the people, saying, "This man deserves to die! For he has prophesied against this city, as you have heard with your ears."

 

(마 23:37, 개역) 예루살렘아 예루살렘아 선지자들을 죽이고 네게 파송된 자들을 돌로 치는 자여 암탉이 그 새끼를 날개 아래 모음 같이 내가 네 자녀를 모으려 한 일이 몇 번이냐 그러나 너희가 원치 아니 하였도다

(Mt 23:37, NKJV) "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!

 

(7) 죽도록 충성하라

(계 2:10, 개역) 네가 장차 받을 고난을 두려워 말라 볼지어다 마귀가 장차 너희 가운데서 몇 사람을 옥에 던져 시험을 받게 하리니 너희가 십 일 동안 환난을 받으리라 네가 죽도록 충성하라 그리하면 내가 생명의 면류관을 네게 주리라

(Rv 2:10, NKJV) "Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

 

5. 사울의 동참.

(1) 회심에 영향?

(행 9:1-7, 개역) [1] 사울이 주의 제자들을 대하여 여전히 위협과 살기가 등등하여 대제사장에게 가서 [2] 다메섹 여러 회당에 갈 공문을 청하니 이는 만일 그 도를 좇는 사람을 만나면 무론 남녀하고 결박하여 예루살렘으로 잡아오려 함이라 [3] 사울이 행하여 다메섹에 가까이 가더니 홀연히 하늘로서 빛이 저를 둘러 비추는지라 [4] 땅에 엎드러져 들으매 소리 있어 가라사대 사울아 사울아 네가 어찌하여 나를 핍박하느냐 하시거늘 [5] 대답하되 주여 뉘시오니이까 가라사대 나는 네가 핍박하는 예수라 [6] 네가 일어나 성으로 들어가라 행할 것을 네게 이를 자가 있느니라 하시니 [7] 같이 가던 사람들은 소리만 듣고 아무도 보지 못하여 말을 못하고 섰더라

(행 9:1-7, NKJV) [1] Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest [2] and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. [3] As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. [4] Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?" [5] And he said, "Who are You, Lord?" Then the Lord said, "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads." [6] So he, trembling and astonished, said, "Lord, what do You want me to do?" Then the Lord said to him, "Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do." [7] And the men who journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice but seeing no one.

 

(2) 사울의 마음에 일어난 의문?

(행 6:15, 개역) 공회 중에 앉은 사람들이 다 스데반을 주목하여 보니 그 얼굴이 천사의 얼굴과 같더라

(Ac 6:15, NKJV) And all who sat in the council, looking steadfastly at him, saw his face as the face of an angel.

 

(3) 작은자

(고전 15:9-10, 개역) [9] 나는 사도 중에 지극히 작은 자라 내가 하나님의 교회를 핍박하였으므로 사도라 칭함을 받기에 감당치 못할 자로라 [10] 그러나 나의 나 된 것은 하나님의 은혜로 된 것이니 내게 주신 그의 은혜가 헛되지 아니하여 내가 모든 사도보다 더 많이 수고하였으나 내가 아니요 오직 나와 함께 하신 하나님의 은혜로라

(고전 15:9-10, NKJV) [9] For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. [10] But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

 

(엡 3:8-9, 개역) [8] 모든 성도 중에 지극히 작은 자보다 더 작은 나에게 이 은혜를 주신 것은 측량할 수 없는 그리스도의 풍성을 이방인에게 전하게 하시고 [9] 영원부터 만물을 창조하신 하나님 속에 감취었던 비밀의 경륜이 어떠한 것을 드러내게 하려 하심이라

(엡 3:8-9, NKJV) [8] To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, [9] and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ;

 

(4) 빚진자

(롬 1:14, 개역) 헬라인이나 야만이나 지혜 있는 자나 어리석은 자에게 다 내가 빚진 자라

(Rm 1:14, NKJV) I am a debtor both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to wise and to unwise.

 

(고전 9:16, 개역) 내가 복음을 전할지라도 자랑할 것이 없음은 내가 부득불 할 일임이라 만일 복음을 전하지 아니하면 내게 화가 있을 것임이로라

(1Co 9:16, NKJV) For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel!

 

(5) 약점

(행 26:11, 개역) 또 모든 회당에서 여러 번 형벌하여 강제로 모독하는 말을 하게 하고 저희를 대하여 심히 격분하여 외국 성까지도 가서 핍박하였고

(Ac 26:11, NKJV) "And I punished them often in every synagogue and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly enraged against them, I persecuted them even to foreign cities.

 

(딤전 1:13, 개역) 내가 전에는 훼방자요 핍박자요 포행자이었으나 도리어 긍휼을 입은 것은 내가 믿지 아니할 때에 알지 못하고 행하였음이라

(1Tm 1:13, NKJV) although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

 

(6) 평생 주님을 위해 헌신

(고후 11:23-33, 개역) [23] 저희가 그리스도의 일꾼이냐 정신 없는 말을 하거니와 나도 더욱 그러하도다 내가 수고를 넘치도록 하고 옥에 갇히기도 더 많이 하고 매도 수없이 맞고 여러 번 죽을 뻔하였으니 [24] 유대인들에게 사십에 하나 감한 매를 다섯 번 맞았으며 [25] 세 번 태장으로 맞고 한 번 돌로 맞고 세 번 파선하는데 일 주야를 깊음에서 지냈으며 [26] 여러 번 여행에 강의 위험과 강도의 위험과 동족의 위험과 이방인의 위험과 시내의 위험과 광야의 위험과 바다의 위험과 거짓 형제 중의 위험을 당하고 [27] 또 수고하며 애쓰고 여러 번 자지 못하고 주리며 목마르고 여러 번 굶고 춥고 헐벗었노라 [28] 이 외의 일은 고사하고 오히려 날마다 내 속에 눌리는 일이 있으니 곧 모든 교회를 위하여 염려하는 것이라 [29] 누가 약하면 내가 약하지 아니하며 누가 실족하게 되면 내가 애타하지 않더냐 [30] 내가 부득불 자랑할진대 나의 약한 것을 자랑하리라 [31] 주 예수의 아버지 영원히 찬송할 하나님이 나의 거짓말 아니하는 줄을 아시느니라 [32] 다메섹에서 아레다 왕의 방백이 나를 잡으려고 다메섹 성을 지킬새 [33] 내가 광주리를 타고 들창문으로 성벽을 내려가 그 손에서 벗어났노라

(고후 11:23-33, NKJV) [23] Are they ministers of Christ?--I speak as a fool--I am more： in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequently, in deaths often. [24] From the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one. [25] Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep; [26] in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; [27] in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness-- [28] besides the other things, what comes upon me daily： my deep concern for all the churches. [29] Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to stumble, and I do not burn with indignation? [30] If I must boast, I will boast in the things which concern my infirmity. [31] The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is blessed forever, knows that I am not lying. [32] In Damascus the governor, under Aretas the king, was guarding the city of the Damascenes with a garrison, desiring to arrest me; [33] but I was let down in a basket through a window in the wall, and escaped from his hands.

 

(7) 우리도 주님을 위하여 남은 일생을 살아야 합니다.

(빌 1:18-21, 개역) [18] 그러면 무엇이뇨 외모로 하나 참으로 하나 무슨 방도로 하든지 전파되는 것은 그리스도니 이로써 내가 기뻐하고 또한 기뻐하리라 [19] 이것이 너희 간구와 예수 그리스도의 성령의 도우심으로 내 구원에 이르게 할 줄 아는 고로 [20] 나의 간절한 기대와 소망을 따라 아무 일에든지 부끄럽지 아니하고 오직 전과 같이 이제도 온전히 담대하여 살든지 죽든지 내 몸에서 그리스도가 존귀히 되게 하려 하나니 [21] 이는 내게 사는 것이 그리스도니 죽는 것도 유익함이니라

(빌 1:18-21, NKJV) [18] What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is preached; and in this I rejoice, yes, and will rejoice. [19] For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, [20] according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. [21] For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

 

(고후 5:14-15, 개역) [14] 그리스도의 사랑이 우리를 강권하시는도다 우리가 생각건대 한 사람이 모든 사람을 대신하여 죽었은즉 모든 사람이 죽은 것이라 [15] 저가 모든 사람을 대신하여 죽으심은 산 자들로 하여금 다시는 저희 자신을 위하여 살지 않고 오직 저희를 대신하여 죽었다가 다시 사신 자를 위하여 살게 하려 함이니라

(고후 5:14-15, NKJV) [14] For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus： that if One died for all, then all died; [15] and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

 

(8) 눈이 멀었던 사울

(고후 4:4-6, 개역) [4] 그 중에 이 세상 신이 믿지 아니하는 자들의 마음을 혼미케 하여 그리스도의 영광의 복음의 광채가 비취지 못하게 함이니 그리스도는 하나님의 형상이니라 [5] 우리가 우리를 전파하는 것이 아니라 오직 그리스도 예수의 주 되신 것과 또 예수를 위하여 우리가 너희의 종 된 것을 전파함이라 [6] 어두운 데서 빛이 비취리라 하시던 그 하나님께서 예수 그리스도의 얼굴에 있는 하나님의 영광을 아는 빛을 우리 마음에 비취셨느니라

(고후 4:4-6, NKJV) [4] whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. [5] For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus' sake. [6] For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

 

(9) 죄인의 괴수

(딤전 1:15, 개역) 미쁘다 모든 사람이 받을 만한 이 말이여 그리스도 예수께서 죄인을 구원하시려고 세상에 임하셨다 하였도다 죄인 중에 내가 괴수니라

(1Tm 1:15, NKJV) This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

 

6. 내 영혼을 받으 옵소서.

(1) 몸은 영혼의 집

(마 10:28, 개역) 몸은 죽여도 영혼은 능히 죽이지 못하는 자들을 두려워하지 말고 오직 몸과 영혼을 능히 지옥에 멸하시는 자를 두려워하라

(Mt 10:28, NKJV) "And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

 

(살전 5:23, 개역) 평강의 하나님이 친히 너희로 온전히 거룩하게 하시고 또 너희 온 영과 혼과 몸이 우리 주 예수 그리스도 강림하실 때에 흠 없게 보전되기를 원하노라

(1Th 5:23, NKJV) Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

 

(2) 고후 5

(고후 5:1-7, 개역) [1] 만일 땅에 있는 우리의 장막집이 무너지면 하나님께서 지으신 집 곧 손으로 지은 것이 아니요 하늘에 있는 영원한 집이 우리에게 있는 줄 아나니 [2] 과연 우리가 여기 있어 탄식하며 하늘로부터 오는 우리 처소로 덧입기를 간절히 사모하노니 [3] 이렇게 입음은 벗은 자들로 발견되지 않으려 함이라 [4] 이 장막에 있는 우리가 짐 진 것 같이 탄식하는 것은 벗고자 함이 아니요 오직 덧입고자 함이니 죽을 것이 생명에게 삼킨 바 되게 하려 함이라 [5] 곧 이것을 우리에게 이루게 하시고 보증으로 성령을 우리에게 주신 이는 하나님이시니라 [6] 그러므로 우리가 항상 담대하여 몸에 거할 때에는 주와 따로 거하는 줄을 아노니 [7] 이는 우리가 믿음으로 행하고 보는 것으로 하지 아니함이로라

(고후 5:1-7, NKJV) [1] For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. [2] For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven, [3] if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked. [4] For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. [5] Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. [6] So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. [7] For we walk by faith, not by sight.

 

(3) 눅 16

(눅 16:19-25, 개역) [19] 한 부자가 있어 자색 옷과 고운 베옷을 입고 날마다 호화로이 연락하는데 [20] 나사로라 이름한 한 거지가 헌데를 앓으며 그 부자의 대문에 누워 [21] 부자의 상에서 떨어지는 것으로 배불리려 하매 심지어 개들이 와서 그 헌데를 핥더라 [22] 이에 그 거지가 죽어 천사들에게 받들려 아브라함의 품에 들어가고 부자도 죽어 장사되매 [23] 저가 음부에서 고통 중에 눈을 들어 멀리 아브라함과 그의 품에 있는 나사로를 보고 [24] 불러 가로되 아버지 아브라함이여 나를 긍휼히 여기사 나사로를 보내어 그 손가락 끝에 물을 찍어 내 혀를 서늘하게 하소서 내가 이 불꽃 가운데서 고민하나이다 [25] 아브라함이 가로되 얘 너는 살았을 때에 네 좋은 것을 받았고 나사로는 고난을 받았으니 이것을 기억하라 이제 저는 여기서 위로를 받고 너는 고민을 받느니라

(눅 16:19-25, NKJV) [19] "There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. [20] "But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, [21] "desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. [22] "So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. [23] "And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. [24] "Then he cried and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.' [25] "But Abraham said, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.

 

(4) 심판

(히 9:27, 개역) 한번 죽는 것은 사람에게 정하신 것이요 그 후에는 심판이 있으리니

(Heb 9:27, NKJV) And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,

 

(고후 5:10, 개역) 이는 우리가 다 반드시 그리스도의 심판대 앞에 드러나 각각 선악간에 그 몸으로 행한 것을 따라 받으려 함이라

(2Co 5:10, NKJV) For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

 

(계 20:11-20, 개역) [11] 또 내가 크고 흰 보좌와 그 위에 앉으신 자를 보니 땅과 하늘이 그 앞에서 피하여 간 데 없더라 [12] 또 내가 보니 죽은 자들이 무론대소하고 그 보좌 앞에 섰는데 책들이 펴 있고 또 다른 책이 펴졌으니 곧 생명책이라 죽은 자들이 자기 행위를 따라 책들에 기록된 대로 심판을 받으니 [13] 바다가 그 가운데서 죽은 자들을 내어주고 또 사망과 음부도 그 가운데서 죽은 자들을 내어주매 각 사람이 자기의 행위대로 심판을 받고 [14] 사망과 음부도 불못에 던지우니 이것은 둘째 사망 곧 불못이라 [15] 누구든지 생명책에 기록되지 못한 자는 불못에 던지우더라

(계 20:11-20, NKJV) [11] Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. [12] And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. [13] The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. [14] Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. [15] And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

 

(5) 낙원에 있으리라

(눅 23:39-43, 개역) [39] 달린 행악자 중 하나는 비방하여 가로되 네가 그리스도가 아니냐 너와 우리를 구원하라 하되 [40] 하나는 그 사람을 꾸짖어 가로되 네가 동일한 정죄를 받고서도 하나님을 두려워 아니하느냐 [41] 우리는 우리의 행한 일에 상당한 보응을 받는 것이니 이에 당연하거니와 이 사람의 행한 것은 옳지 않은 것이 없느니라 하고 [42] 가로되 예수여 당신의 나라에 임하실 때에 나를 생각하소서 하니 [43] 예수께서 이르시되 내가 진실로 네게 이르노니 오늘 네가 나와 함께 낙원에 있으리라 하시니라

(눅 23:39-43, NKJV) [39] Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, "If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us." [40] But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, "Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? [41] "And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong." [42] Then he said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom." [43] And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise."

 

(6) 부활

(요 11:25-26, 개역) [25] 예수께서 가라사대 나는 부활이요 생명이니 나를 믿는 자는 죽어도 살겠고 [26] 무릇 살아서 나를 믿는 자는 영원히 죽지 아니하리니 이것을 네가 믿느냐

(요 11:25-26, NKJV) [25] Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. [26] "And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?"

 

(7) 빌 319

(빌 3:19-21, 개역) [19] 저희의 마침은 멸망이요 저희의 신은 배요 그 영광은 저희의 부끄러움에 있고 땅의 일을 생각하는 자라 [20] 오직 우리의 시민권은 하늘에 있는지라 거기로서 구원하는 자 곧 주 예수 그리스도를 기다리노니 [21] 그가 만물을 자기에게 복종케 하실 수 있는 자의 역사로 우리의 낮은 몸을 자기 영광의 몸의 형체와 같이 변케 하시리라

(빌 3:19-21, NKJV) [19] whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame--who set their mind on earthly things. [20] For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, [21] who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.

 

(8) 주님도 아버지께 부탁

(요 19:28-30, 개역) [28] 이 후에 예수께서 모든 일이 이미 이룬 줄 아시고 성경으로 응하게 하려 하사 가라사대 내가 목마르다 하시니 [29] 거기 신 포도주가 가득히 담긴 그릇이 있는지라 사람들이 신 포도주를 머금은 해융을 우슬초에 매어 예수의 입에 대니 [30] 예수께서 신 포도주를 받으신 후 가라사대 다 이루었다 하시고 머리를 숙이시고 영혼이 돌아가시니라

(요 19:28-30, NKJV) [28] After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, "I thirst!" [29] Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. [30] So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

 

(눅 23:44-49, 개역) [44] 때가 제육시쯤 되어 해가 빛을 잃고 온 땅에 어두움이 임하여 제구시까지 계속하며 [45] 성소의 휘장이 한가운데가 찢어지더라 [46] 예수께서 큰 소리로 불러 가라사대 아버지여 내 영혼을 아버지 손에 부탁하나이다 하고 이 말씀을 하신 후 운명하시다 [47] 백부장이 그 된 일을 보고 하나님께 영광을 돌려 가로되 이 사람은 정녕 의인이었도다 하고 [48] 이를 구경하러 모인 무리도 그 된 일을 보고 다 가슴을 두드리며 돌아가고 [49] 예수의 아는 자들과 및 갈릴리로부터 따라온 여자들도 다 멀리 서서 이 일을 보니라

(눅 23:44-49, NKJV) [44] Now it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. [45] Then the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two. [46] And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, "Father, 'into Your hands I commit My spirit.'" Having said this, He breathed His last. [47] So when the centurion saw what had happened, he glorified God, saying, "Certainly this was a righteous Man!" [48] And the whole crowd who came together to that sight, seeing what had been done, beat their breasts and returned. [49] But all His acquaintances, and the women who followed Him from Galilee, stood at a distance, watching these things.

 

(9) 순교자의 상급

(계 20:4-6, 개역) [4] 또 내가 보좌들을 보니 거기 앉은 자들이 있어 심판하는 권세를 받았더라 또 내가 보니 예수의 증거와 하나님의 말씀을 인하여 목 베임을 받은 자의 영혼들과 또 짐승과 그의 우상에게 경배하지도 아니하고 이마와 손에 그의 표를 받지도 아니한 자들이 살아서 그리스도로 더불어 천 년 동안 왕 노릇 하니 [5] (그 나머지 죽은 자들은 그 천 년이 차기까지 살지 못하더라) 이는 첫째 부활이라 [6] 이 첫째 부활에 참예하는 자들은 복이 있고 거룩하도다 둘째 사망이 그들을 다스리는 권세가 없고 도리어 그들이 하나님과 그리스도의 제사장이 되어 천 년 동안 그리스도로 더불어 왕 노릇 하리라

(계 20:4-6, NKJV) [4] And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. [5] But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. [6] Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

 

(10) 믿음을 지키고 끝까지 달려가자.

(딤후 4:6-8, 개역) [6] 관제와 같이 벌써 내가 부음이 되고 나의 떠날 기약이 가까웠도다 [7] 내가 선한 싸움을 싸우고 나의 달려갈 길을 마치고 믿음을 지켰으니 [8] 이제 후로는 나를 위하여 의의 면류관이 예비되었으므로 주 곧 의로우신 재판장이 그 날에 내게 주실 것이니 내게만 아니라 주의 나타나심을 사모하는 모든 자에게니라

(딤후 4:6-8, NKJV) [6] For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. [7] I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. [8] Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.

 

7. 이 죄를 저희에게 돌리지 마옵소서.

(1) 서로 용서하라

(엡 4:31-32, 개역) [31] 너희는 모든 악독과 노함과 분냄과 떠드는 것과 훼방하는 것을 모든 악의와 함께 버리고 [32] 서로 인자하게 하며 불쌍히 여기며 서로 용서하기를 하나님이 그리스도 안에서 너희를 용서하심과 같이 하라

(엡 4:31-32, NKJV) [31] Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. [32] And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you.

 

(마 18:21-35, 개역) [21] 그 때에 베드로가 나아와 가로되 주여 형제가 내게 죄를 범하면 몇 번이나 용서하여 주리이까 일곱 번까지 하오리이까 [22] 예수께서 가라사대 네게 이르노니 일곱 번뿐 아니라 일흔 번씩 일곱 번이라도 할지니라 [23] 이러므로 천국은 그 종들과 회계하려 하던 어떤 임금과 같으니 [24] 회계할 때에 일만 달란트 빚진 자 하나를 데려오매 [25] 갚을 것이 없는지라 주인이 명하여 그 몸과 처와 자식들과 모든 소유를 다 팔아 갚게 하라 한대 [26] 그 종이 엎드리어 절하며 가로되 내게 참으소서 다 갚으리이다 하거늘 [27] 그 종의 주인이 불쌍히 여겨 놓아 보내며 그 빚을 탕감하여 주었더니 [28] 그 종이 나가서 제게 백 데나리온 빚진 동관 하나를 만나 붙들어 목을 잡고 가로되 빚을 갚으라 하매 [29] 그 동관이 엎드리어 간구하여 가로되 나를 참아 주소서 갚으리이다 하되 [30] 허락하지 아니하고 이에 가서 저가 빚을 갚도록 옥에 가두거늘 [31] 그 동관들이 그것을 보고 심히 민망하여 주인에게 가서 그 일을 다 고하니 [32] 이에 주인이 저를 불러다가 말하되 악한 종아 네가 빌기에 내가 네 빚을 전부 탕감하여 주었거늘 [33] 내가 너를 불쌍히 여김과 같이 너도 네 동관을 불쌍히 여김이 마땅치 아니하냐 하고 [34] 주인이 노하여 그 빚을 다 갚도록 저를 옥졸들에게 붙이니라 [35] 너희가 각각 중심으로 형제를 용서하지 아니하면 내 천부께서도 너희에게 이와 같이 하시리라

(마 18:21-35, NKJV) [21] Then Peter came to Him and said, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?" [22] Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven. [23] "Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. [24] "And when he had begun to settle accounts, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. [25] "But as he was not able to pay, his master commanded that he be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and that payment be made. [26] "The servant therefore fell down before him, saying, 'Master, have patience with me, and I will pay you all.' [27] "Then the master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt. [28] "But that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii; and he laid hands on him and took him by the throat, saying, 'Pay me what you owe!' [29] "So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, 'Have patience with me, and I will pay you all.' [30] "And he would not, but went and threw him into prison till he should pay the debt. [31] "So when his fellow servants saw what had been done, they were very grieved, and came and told their master all that had been done. [32] "Then his master, after he had called him, said to him, 'You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me. [33] 'Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?' [34] "And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him. [35] "So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses."

 

(마 5:43-48, 개역) [43] 또 네 이웃을 사랑하고 네 원수를 미워하라 하였다는 것을 너희가 들었으나 [44] 나는 너희에게 이르노니 너희 원수를 사랑하며 너희를 핍박하는 자를 위하여 기도하라 [45] 이같이 한즉 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지의 아들이 되리니 이는 하나님이 그 해를 악인과 선인에게 비취게 하시며 비를 의로운 자와 불의한 자에게 내리우심이니라 [46] 너희가 너희를 사랑하는 자를 사랑하면 무슨 상이 있으리요 세리도 이같이 아니하느냐 [47] 또 너희가 너희 형제에게만 문안하면 남보다 더 하는 것이 무엇이냐 이방인들도 이같이 아니하느냐 [48] 그러므로 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지의 온전하심과 같이 너희도 온전하라

(마 5:43-48, NKJV) [43] "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' [44] "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, [45] "that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. [46] "For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? [47] "And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? [48] "Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

 

(2) 주님의 발자취를 따라감

(벧전 2:18-25, 개역) [18] 사환들아 범사에 두려워함으로 주인들에게 순복하되 선하고 관용하는 자들에게만 아니라 또한 까다로운 자들에게도 그리하라 [19] 애매히 고난을 받아도 하나님을 생각함으로 슬픔을 참으면 이는 아름다우나 [20] 죄가 있어 매를 맞고 참으면 무슨 칭찬이 있으리요 오직 선을 행함으로 고난을 받고 참으면 이는 하나님 앞에 아름다우니라 [21] 이를 위하여 너희가 부르심을 입었으니 그리스도도 너희를 위하여 고난을 받으사 너희에게 본을 끼쳐 그 자취를 따라오게 하려 하셨느니라 [22] 저는 죄를 범치 아니하시고 그 입에 궤사도 없으시며 [23] 욕을 받으시되 대신 욕하지 아니하시고 고난을 받으시되 위협하지 아니하시고 오직 공의로 심판하시는 자에게 부탁하시며 [24] 친히 나무에 달려 그 몸으로 우리 죄를 담당하셨으니 이는 우리로 죄에 대하여 죽고 의에 대하여 살게 하려 하심이라 저가 채찍에 맞음으로 너희는 나음을 얻었나니 [25] 너희가 전에는 양과 같이 길을 잃었더니 이제는 너희 영혼의 목자와 감독 되신 이에게 돌아왔느니라

(벧전 2:18-25, NKJV) [18] Servants, be submissive to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the harsh. [19] For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully. [20] For what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God. [21] For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps： [22] "Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth"; [23] who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; [24] who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness--by whose stripes you were healed. [25] For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

 

(3) 이 말을 하고 자니라.

(살전 4:13-18, 개역) [13] 형제들아 자는 자들에 관하여는 너희가 알지 못함을 우리가 원치 아니하노니 이는 소망 없는 다른 이와 같이 슬퍼하지 않게 하려 함이라 [14] 우리가 예수의 죽었다가 다시 사심을 믿을진대 이와 같이 예수 안에서 자는 자들도 하나님이 저와 함께 데리고 오시리라 [15] 우리가 주의 말씀으로 너희에게 이것을 말하노니 주 강림하실 때까지 우리 살아 남아 있는 자도 자는 자보다 결단코 앞서지 못하리라 [16] 주께서 호령과 천사장의 소리와 하나님의 나팔로 친히 하늘로 좇아 강림하시리니 그리스도 안에서 죽은 자들이 먼저 일어나고 [17] 그 후에 우리 살아 남은 자도 저희와 함께 구름 속으로 끌어올려 공중에서 주를 영접하게 하시리니 그리하여 우리가 항상 주와 함께 있으리라 [18] 그러므로 이 여러 말로 서로 위로하라

(살전 4:13-18, NKJV) [13] But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. [14] For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. [15] For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. [16] For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. [17] Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. [18] Therefore comfort one another with these words.

 

(4) 주님의 용서

(눅 23:34, 개역) 이에 예수께서 가라사대 아버지여 저희를 사하여 주옵소서 자기의 하는 것을 알지 못함이니이다 하시더라 저희가 그의 옷을 나눠 제비 뽑을새

(Lk 23:34, NKJV) Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do." And they divided His garments and cast lots.

 

(5) 원수를 사랑하라

(롬 12:14-21, 개역) [14] 너희를 핍박하는 자를 축복하라 축복하고 저주하지 말라 [15] 즐거워하는 자들로 함께 즐거워하고 우는 자들로 함께 울라 [16] 서로 마음을 같이 하며 높은 데 마음을 두지 말고 도리어 낮은 데 처하며 스스로 지혜 있는 체 말라 [17] 아무에게도 악으로 악을 갚지 말고 모든 사람 앞에서 선한 일을 도모하라 [18] 할 수 있거든 너희로서는 모든 사람으로 더불어 평화하라 [19] 내 사랑하는 자들아 너희가 친히 원수를 갚지 말고 진노하심에 맡기라 기록되었으되 원수 갚는 것이 내게 있으니 내가 갚으리라고 주께서 말씀하시니라 [20] 네 원수가 주리거든 먹이고 목마르거든 마시우라 그리함으로 네가 숯불을 그 머리에 쌓아 놓으리라 [21] 악에게 지지 말고 선으로 악을 이기라

(롬 12:14-21, NKJV) [14] Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. [15] Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. [16] Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. [17] Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. [18] If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. [19] Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord. [20] Therefore "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head." [21] Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

 

(6) 사랑은 영원함

(고전 13:1-13, 개역) [1] 내가 사람의 방언과 천사의 말을 할지라도 사랑이 없으면 소리나는 구리와 울리는 꽹과리가 되고 [2] 내가 예언하는 능이 있어 모든 비밀과 모든 지식을 알고 또 산을 옮길 만한 모든 믿음이 있을지라도 사랑이 없으면 내가 아무 것도 아니요 [3] 내가 내게 있는 모든 것으로 구제하고 또 내 몸을 불사르게 내어 줄지라도 사랑이 없으면 내게 아무 유익이 없느니라 [4] 사랑은 오래 참고 사랑은 온유하며 투기하는 자가 되지 아니하며 사랑은 자랑하지 아니하며 교만하지 아니하며 [5] 무례히 행치 아니하며 자기의 유익을 구치 아니하며 성내지 아니하며 악한 것을 생각지 아니하며 [6] 불의를 기뻐하지 아니하며 진리와 함께 기뻐하고 [7] 모든 것을 참으며 모든 것을 믿으며 모든 것을 바라며 모든 것을 견디느니라 [8] 사랑은 언제까지든지 떨어지지 아니하나 예언도 폐하고 방언도 그치고 지식도 폐하리라 [9] 우리가 부분적으로 알고 부분적으로 예언하니 [10] 온전한 것이 올 때에는 부분적으로 하던 것이 폐하리라 [11] 내가 어렸을 때에는 말하는 것이 어린 아이와 같고 깨닫는 것이 어린 아이와 같고 생각하는 것이 어린 아이와 같다가 장성한 사람이 되어서는 어린 아이의 일을 버렸노라 [12] 우리가 이제는 거울로 보는 것 같이 희미하나 그 때에는 얼굴과 얼굴을 대하여 볼 것이요 이제는 내가 부분적으로 아나 그 때에는 주께서 나를 아신 것 같이 내가 온전히 알리라 [13] 그런즉 믿음, 소망, 사랑, 이 세가지는 항상 있을 것인데 그 중에 제일은 사랑이라

(고전 13:1-13, NKJV) [1] Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. [2] And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. [3] And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. [4] Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; [5] does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; [6] does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; [7] bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. [8] Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. [9] For we know in part and we prophesy in part. [10] But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. [11] When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. [12] For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. [13] And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

 

(7) 하나님은 사랑이심

(요일 4:7-11, 개역) [7] 사랑하는 자들아 우리가 서로 사랑하자 사랑은 하나님께 속한 것이니 사랑하는 자마다 하나님께로 나서 하나님을 알고 [8] 사랑하지 아니하는 자는 하나님을 알지 못하나니 이는 하나님은 사랑이심이라 [9] 하나님의 사랑이 우리에게 이렇게 나타난 바 되었으니 하나님이 자기의 독생자를 세상에 보내심은 저로 말미암아 우리를 살리려 하심이니라 [10] 사랑은 여기 있으니 우리가 하나님을 사랑한 것이 아니요 오직 하나님이 우리를 사랑하사 우리 죄를 위하여 화목제로 그 아들을 보내셨음이니라 [11] 사랑하는 자들아 하나님이 이같이 우리를 사랑하셨은즉 우리도 서로 사랑하는 것이 마땅하도다

(요일 4:7-11, NKJV) [7] Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. [8] He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. [9] In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. [10] In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. [11] Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

 

(8) 아직 죄인 일 때에 원수 되었을 때에

(롬 5:8-11, 개역) [8] 우리가 아직 죄인 되었을 때에 그리스도께서 우리를 위하여 죽으심으로 하나님께서 우리에게 대한 자기의 사랑을 확증하셨느니라 [9] 그러면 이제 우리가 그 피를 인하여 의롭다 하심을 얻었은즉 더욱 그로 말미암아 진노하심에서 구원을 얻을 것이니 [10] 곧 우리가 원수 되었을 때에 그 아들의 죽으심으로 말미암아 하나님으로 더불어 화목되었은즉 화목된 자로서는 더욱 그의 살으심을 인하여 구원을 얻을 것이니라 [11] 이뿐 아니라 이제 우리로 화목을 얻게 하신 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님 안에서 또한 즐거워하느니라

(롬 5:8-11, NKJV) [8] But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. [9] Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. [10] For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. [11] And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

 

(9) 먼저 사랑

(요일 4:17-21, 개역) [17] 이로써 사랑이 우리에게 온전히 이룬 것은 우리로 심판 날에 담대함을 가지게 하려 함이니 주의 어떠하심과 같이 우리도 세상에서 그러하니라 [18] 사랑 안에 두려움이 없고 온전한 사랑이 두려움을 내어 쫓나니 두려움에는 형벌이 있음이라 두려워하는 자는 사랑 안에서 온전히 이루지 못하였느니라 [19] 우리가 사랑함은 그가 먼저 우리를 사랑하셨음이라 [20] 누구든지 하나님을 사랑하노라 하고 그 형제를 미워하면 이는 거짓말하는 자니 보는 바 그 형제를 사랑치 아니하는 자가 보지 못하는 바 하나님을 사랑할 수 없느니라 [21] 우리가 이 계명을 주께 받았나니 하나님을 사랑하는 자는 또한 그 형제를 사랑할지니라

(요일 4:17-21, NKJV) [17] Love has been perfected among us in this： that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. [18] There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. [19] We love Him because He first loved us. [20] If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? [21] And this commandment we have from Him： that he who loves God must love his brother also.

 

사랑하는 성도 여러분,

스데반은 왜 순교를 당하였습니까?

스데반의 설교를 듣고도 깨닫지 못했던 사람들처럼 나도 혹시 어느 진리에 귀를 닫고 있는 것은 아닐까요?

화가나고 듣기 거북한 그말이 바로 나에게 주시는 주님의 음성은 아닐까요?

바리새적인 요소를 없이 하여야 하겠습니다.

스데반은 공회앞에서도 당당하였고 담대하게 말씀을 전했습니다.

우리들도 사람들의 눈치를 볼것이 아니라 주님의 만을 의지하여 담대하게 말씀을 전해야 하겠습니다.

스데반은 주님이 하나님 우편에 서 계신 것을 보았습니다.

주님이 스데반의 믿음과 사랑을 알고 계셨습니다.

보고 계셨습니다.

그 영혼을 영접하시려고 서계셨습니다.

주님의 사랑입니다.

영광을 보여주실 때 우리는 능히 우리 영혼을 주님께 맡길수 있습니다.

주님께 영광 보여주소서 사모하고 기도해야 하겠습니다.

어렴풋이나마 주님의 아름다우심과 영광을 체험한다면 우리는 주님을 열렬히 사랑할 수밖에 없습니다.

주님의 마음을 닮아 스데반은 자신을 돌로치는 사람들을 용서해달라고 기도하였습니다.
