오늘은 주현절 첫 번째 주일입니다.
예수님께서 공식적으로 메시야직을 시작하신 것을 기념하는 것입니다.
예수님은 세례요한에게 세례를 받으심으로 공식적인 생애를 시작하십니다.
특별히 마태복음에서는 별다를 소개 없이 하나님의 아들 예수그리스도 복음의 시작이라고 말습니다.
세례요한의 나타나심과 예수님이 세례를 받으시고 자신을 세상에 들어내신 것은 마치 종말시대에 두증이 나타나고 이어저 예수님의 재림이 이루어지는것과 비교할수 있습니다. 오늘본은 세례요한의 정체와 사명 그리고 예수님의 세례식과 그에 따른 여러기적들이 기록되어 있습니다.
세례요한의 삶은 종말을 사는 우리들의 삶의 본이되며 예수님을 증거하는 그의 증언에서 우리는 많은 진리를 배울수가 있습니다.
예수님이 죄가 없으심에도 불구하고 죄인처럼 요한의 세례를 받으신 것은 자신을 죄인의 하나로 낮추시는 주님의 순종과 결단을 보여줍니다. 예수님은 이때부터 세상죄를 지고 가는 하나님의 어린양이 되신것입니다. 특별히 성령의 비둘기같이 임하심은 사명을 감당하시기 위하여 권능 부어주심을 의미합니다. 내가 너를 사랑하고 기뻐한다는 아버지의 음성은 주님께 더 없는 힘이 되었을 것입니다.
주님은 이로써 이 세상에서 아버지께서 주신 사명을 위하여 힘찬 새 출발을 하신것입니다.
우리들도 마찬가지입니다. 주님을 증거하였던 세례요한처럼 우리들도 이 어려운 시대에 다시 한번 거룩함과 담대함을 가지고 세상을 향하여 예수님을 증고하여야 하겠습니다. 나가서 우리들의 처음 예수님을 믿고 세례를 받고 새로운 삶을 시작하였던 것을 기억하며 우리들은 첫 사랑을 회복하고 주님의 본을 따라 성령의 충만함을 받고 끝까지 충성을 다하는 우리들이 되어야 하겠습니다.
1. 하나님의 아들 예수그리스도의 복음의 시작
(1) 예수님은 하나님의 아들
[요 1:1-5, 개역] ([1] 태초에 말씀이 계시니라 이 말씀이 하나님과 함께 계셨으니 이 말씀은 곧 하나님이시니라 [2] 그가 태초에 하나님과 함께 계셨고 [3] 만물이 그로 말미암아 지은 바 되었으니 지은 것이 하나도 그가 없이는 된 것이 없느니라 [4] 그 안에 생명이 있었으니 이 생명은 사람들의 빛이라 [5] 빛이 어두움에 비취되 어두움이 깨닫지 못하더라)

(3) 복음은 좋은 소식

(4) 사랑은 죄악 보다 크다.

(5) 이미 용서하셨다.

(6) 더 이상 정죄없다

(7) 하나님의 은혜
[엡 2:8-9, 개역] ([8] 너희가 그 은혜를 인하여 믿음으로 말미암아 구원을 얻었나니 이것이 너희에게서 난 것이 아니요 하나님의 선물이라 [9] 행위에서 난 것이 아니니 이는 누구든지 자랑치 못하게 함이니라)

(8) 예수님을 믿는 성도들에게 주신 하나님의 축복

2. 세례요한의 사명
(1) 광야에 외치는 자의 소리가 있어 가로되 너희는 주의 길을 예비하라그의 첩경을
자신은 존재가 없고 오직 주님만을 높이는 사역입니다.
나는 쇠하고 주님만이 흥하셔야 합니다.
[사 40:3-5, 개역] ([3] 외치는 자의 소리여 가로되 너희는 광야에서 여호와의 길을 예비하라 사막에서 우리 하나님의 대로를 평탄케 하라 [4] 골짜기마다 돋우어지며 산마다, 작은 산마다 낮아지며 고르지 않은 곳이 평탄케 되며 험한 곳이 평지가 될 것이요 [5] 여호와의 영광이 나타나고 모든 육체가 그것을 함께 보리라 대저 여호와의 입이 말씀하셨느니라)

인간은 모두 죄인이기에 모두 회개하고 예수님의 이름으로 세례를 받아야 합니다.

말세 사명자의 모습입니다.
타락한 세상과 멀리할수록 빛이 납니다.
소금이 맛을 잃으면 아무 소용없습니다.
세상과 타협하며 세상을 사랑하며 살면서 담대하게 회개하라고 외칠수는 없습니다.
그 말에 권세가 없습니다.
하나님도 알고 나도 알고 듣는 사람들도 알것입니다.

(5) 예수님이 메시야 임을 증거하는 사명

(6) 광야에 사는 삶
하나님만을 의지하는 삶입니다.
[딤전 6:11-12, 개역] ([11] 오직 너 하나님의 사람아 이것들을 피하고 의와 경건과 믿음과 사랑과 인내와 온유를 좇으며 [12] 믿음의 선한 싸움을 싸우라 영생을 취하라 이를 위하여 네가 부르심을 입었고 많은 증인 앞에서 선한 증거를 증거하였도다)
[딤전 6:11-12, NKJV] ([11] But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. (7) 경건의 본입니다.
[요일 2:15-17, 개역] ([15] 이 세상이나 세상에 있는 것들을 사랑치 말라 누구든지 세상을 사랑하면 아버지의 사랑이 그 속에 있지 아니하니 [16] 이는 세상에 있는 모든 것이 육신의 정욕과 안목의 정욕과 이생의 자랑이니 다 아버지께로 좇아 온 것이 아니요 세상으로 좇아 온 것이라 [17] 이 세상도 그 정욕도 지나가되 오직 하나님의 뜻을 행하는 이는 영원히 거하느니라)

(8) 선지자의 본

3. 세례요한이 증거하는 예수님
(1) 주님. 여호와,
[요 10:9-12, 개역] ([9] 내가 문이니 누구든지 나로 말미암아 들어가면 구원을 얻고 또는 들어가며 나오며 꼴을 얻으리라 [10] 도적이 오는 것은 도적질하고 죽이고 멸망시키려는 것뿐이요 내가 온 것은 양으로 생명을 얻게 하고 더 풍성히 얻게 하려는 것이라 [11] 나는 선한 목자라 선한 목자는 양들을 위하여 목숨을 버리거니와 [12] 삯꾼은 목자도 아니요 양도 제 양이 아니라 이리가 오는 것을 보면 양을 버리고 달아나나니 이리가 양을 늑탈하고 또 헤치느니라)

(2) 나보다 능력이 많으신 분
신들메도 감당치 못한다.

이 놀라운 주님을 만나는 것은 얼마나 놀랍고 흥분되고 감격적이 될것입니까?
(3) 성령으로 세례를 주시는 분
[행 1:4-5, 개역] ([4] 사도와 같이 모이사 저희에게 분부하여 가라사대 예루살렘을 떠나지 말고 내게 들은 바 아버지의 약속하신 것을 기다리라 [5] 요한은 물로 침례를 베풀었으나 너희는 몇 날이 못되어 성령으로 침례를 받으리라 하셨느니라)
[행 1:4-5, NKJV] ([4] And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, "which," He said, "you have heard from Me; [5] "for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.")
[행 2:31-33, 개역] ([31] 미리 보는 고로 그리스도의 부활하심을 말하되 저가 음부에 버림이 되지 않고 육신이 썩음을 당하지 아니하시리라 하더니 [32] 이 예수를 하나님이 살리신지라 우리가 다 이 일에 증인이로다 [33] 하나님이 오른손으로 예수를 높이시매 그가 약속하신 성령을 아버지께 받아서 너희 보고 듣는 이것을 부어 주셨느니라)

(4) 불과 성령으로 세례를 주시리라.
12절과 연결하여 생각해 볼 때 불로 세례를 주신다는 말씀은 심판을 의미합니다.
성령님도 불로 상징되어 나탑니다.
불은 12절처럼 마지막 심판의 의미도 있지만 우리들의 죄악을 불로 태워 정결하게 하시는 사역도 성령님의 사역입니다.
[행 11:15-15, 개역] ([15] 내가 말을 시작할 때에 성령이 저희에게 임하시기를 처음 우리에게 하신 것과 같이 하는지라)

[딛 3:5-6, 개역] ([5] 우리를 구원하시되 우리의 행한 바 의로운 행위로 말미암지 아니하고 오직 그의 긍휼하심을 좇아 중생의 씻음과 성령의 새롭게 하심으로 하셨나니 [6] 성령을 우리 구주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 우리에게 풍성히 부어 주사)

[겔 36:25-27, 개역] ([25] 맑은 물로 너희에게 뿌려서 너희로 정결케 하되 곧 너희 모든 더러운 것에서와 모든 우상을 섬김에서 너희를 정결케 할 것이며 [26] 또 새 영을 너희 속에 두고 새 마음을 너희에게 주되 너희 육신에서 굳은 마음을 제하고 부드러운 마음을 줄 것이며 [27] 또 내 신을 너희 속에 두어 너희로 내 율례를 행하게 하리니 너희가 내 규례를 지켜 행할지라)

(5) 예수님이 증거하신 세례요한

(6) 엘리야
[마 11:14-15, 개역] ([14] 만일 너희가 즐겨 받을진대 오리라 한 엘리야가 곧 이 사람이니라 [15] 귀 있는 자는 들을지어다)

(7) 두 증인
[행 1:8, 개역] (오직 성령이 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 권능을 받고 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅 끝까지 이르러 내 증인이 되리라 하시니라)

4. 세례를 받으신 주님
(1) 죄없으신 주님

(4) 고난의 세례
[막 10:38-39, 개역] ([38] 예수께서 가라사대 너희 구하는 것을 너희가 알지 못하는도다 너희가 나의 마시는 잔을 마시며 나의 받는 침례를 받을 수 있느냐 [39] 저희가 말하되 할 수 있나이다 예수께서 이르시되 너희가 나의 마시는 잔을 마시며 나의 받는 침례를 받으려니와)

(5) 십자가
[고후 5:14-15, 개역] ([14] 그리스도의 사랑이 우리를 강권하시는도다 우리가 생각건대 한 사람이 모든 사람을 대신하여 죽었은즉 모든 사람이 죽은 것이라 [15] 저가 모든 사람을 대신하여 죽으심은 산 자들로 하여금 다시는 저희 자신을 위하여 살지 않고 오직 저희를 대신하여 죽었다가 다시 사신 자를 위하여 살게 하려 함이니라)

(6) 부활

(7) 세례를 주라.

(8) 세례로 그리스도와 함께 죽고 함께 살아남

5. 하늘이 갈라짐과
(1) 바벨탑
[창 11:1-5, 개역] ([1] 온 땅의 구음이 하나이요 언어가 하나이었더라 [2] 이에 그들이 동방으로 옮기다가 시날 평지를 만나 거기 거하고 [3] 서로 말하되 자, 벽돌을 만들어 견고히 굽자 하고 이에 벽돌로 돌을 대신하며 역청으로 진흙을 대신하고 [4] 또 말하되 자, 성과 대를 쌓아 대 꼭대기를 하늘에 닿게 하여 우리 이름을 내고 온 지면에 흩어짐을 면하자 하였더니 [5] 여호와께서 인생들의 쌓는 성과 대를 보시려고 강림하셨더라)
[창 11:1-5, NKJV] ([1] Now the whole earth had one language and one speech. (5) 예수님 세례

(6) 변화산

6. 성령의 임하심
(1) 비둘기 같이 임하신 성령님
사랑과 평화의 상징입니다.
동시에 순결의 상징입니다.
주님께서 평화와 순결의 영 거룩한 영이신 성령으로 세례를 받으시고 메시야로써의 사역을 시작하신 것을 알수가 있습니다.
주님의 구속사역과도 연결이 됩니다.
[갈 5:22-24, 개역] ([22] 오직 성령의 열매는 사랑과 희락과 화평과 오래 참음과 자비와 양선과 충성과 [23] 온유와 절제니 이같은 것을 금지할 법이 없느니라 [24] 그리스도 예수의 사람들은 육체와 함께 그 정과 욕심을 십자가에 못 박았느니라)

(2) 성령의 권능으로 사명을 감당하심

(3) 성령으로 세례를 주심
[행 2:32-33, 개역] ([32] 이 예수를 하나님이 살리신지라 우리가 다 이 일에 증인이로다 [33] 하나님이 오른손으로 예수를 높이시매 그가 약속하신 성령을 아버지께 받아서 너희 보고 듣는 이것을 부어 주셨느니라)

(4) 약속하신 성령

(5) 항상 함께 하심

(9) 은사를 나누어 주심
[고전 12:4-11, 개역] ([4] 은사는 여러 가지나 성령은 같고 [5] 직임은 여러 가지나 주는 같으며 [6] 또 역사는 여러 가지나 모든 것을 모든 사람 가운데서 역사하시는 하나님은 같으니 [7] 각 사람에게 성령의 나타남을 주심은 유익하게 하려 하심이라 [8] 어떤 이에게는 성령으로 말미암아 지혜의 말씀을, 어떤 이에게는 같은 성령을 따라 지식의 말씀을, [9] 다른 이에게는 같은 성령으로 믿음을, 어떤 이에게는 한 성령으로 병 고치는 은사를, [10] 어떤 이에게는 능력 행함을, 어떤 이에게는 예언함을, 어떤 이에게는 영들 분별함을, 다른 이에게는 각종 방언 말함을, 어떤 이에게는 방언들 통역함을 주시나니 [11] 이 모든 일은 같은 한 성령이 행하사 그 뜻대로 각 사람에게 나눠 주시느니라)

7. 하늘에서 들려온 아버지의 음성
(1) 나의 사랑하는 자

(7) 감사하라.

(9) 담대하라

(9) 빼앗을자 없다.

세례요한의 사명은 무엇이었습니까?
우리들의 사명은 무엇일까요?
특별히 종말시대를 사는 우리에게 주시는 교훈은 무엇입니까?
경건의 삶을 살아야 세상을 향하여 회개하라고 외칠수가 있습니다.
우리는 주님은 가리키는 자들이요 주님을 증거하는 소리에 불과 합니다.
주님이 모든 영광과 높임을 받으셔야 합니다.
예수님은 왜 세례를 받으신것입니까?
스스로 죄인이 되셔서 우리들의 죄를 대신지시기 위함입니다.
세상죄를 대신 지신 하나님의 어린양 이십니다.
세례는 바로 예수님의 메시야 취임식입니다.
우리들도 새롭게 새해를 시작해야 하겠습니다.
성령충만으로 사명감당하셨습니다.
아버지의 사랑의 확증입니다.
오늘 우리에게 주시는 음성입니다.
예수님은 성령으로 세례를 주시는 분이십니다.
예수님은 하나님의 아들이십니다.
예수님은 그리스도 이십니다.
삼위일체 하나님의 나타나심이었습니다.
하늘이 열리는 축복 이 올해 임하시기를 축원합니다.
나의 세례를 돌아보며 첫사랑을 회복합시다.
사명자로써 나도 새롭게 취임하고 사명자로 살아갑시다.
<올해의 결단> “더욱”
(1) 더욱 전도와 선교에 힘쓰자.
(2) 더욱 주님을 깊이 찾고 알아가는 한해.
(3) 더욱 경건에 힘쓰자.
(4) 더욱 선한 일에 힘쓰자.
(5) 더욱 모이기를 힘쓰자.
오늘도, 새해 이 어려운 시대에 마음을 새롭게 말씀과 성령님과 사명감으로 무장함으로 승리하고 하나님나라의 확장에 쓰임받는 복된 한해가 되시기를 우리주 예수그리스도의 이름으로 간절히 축원합니다. 아멘!
